With Vogue Williams & Christopher Page out of it all, at the beginning of the show, Daniel MacPherson comes out and says that one star is out of the competition due to emergency surgery and will not be able to compete. Daniel and Mel B. introduce the remaining stars Kerri-Anne Kennerley & Carmelo Pizzino, Johnny Ruffo & Luda Kroitor, Danielle Spencer & Damian Whitewood, Zoe Cramond & Aric Yegudkin, Jessica Watson & Damien Samuel, Brian Mannix & Melanie Hooper and Brendan Fevola & Jessica Raffa are in it. This means that Shannon Noll & Elena Samadanova are out of the competition due to back surgery. Tonight the dancers are going to be dancing to Broadway hits. Guy Sebastian is performing tonight.

Danielle Spencer & Damian Whitewood are first tonight. They get into rehearsals and they are doing a dance to “Chicago”. They get into a paintball range to get the energy going. She has fun. She says that she is going to take the energy. Dancing the Tango, they come out and dance. They go to the judges and Todd says that was amazing and says that she had moments where it worked. However, she needs to connect more. He says that she took a step forward. Helen says that it was a show stopper and says that is the best she has done so far. She says that it was well done. Josh says that it was an awesome number, but the sharpness could have been better and it needed more energy. They should vocalize in the dance. They get their scores: Todd with a 9, Helen with a 10 and Josh with a 9. Total score of 28/30.

Brian Mannix & Melanie Hooper are up next. They get in the rehearsals and they are doing a dance to “The Rock of Ages”. Melanie takes Brian to the gym. He has fun and jokes around. Dancing the Rumba, they come out and dance. They go to the judges and Josh says that he is becoming a fan, but that was uncomfortable and says that he is lacking everything. Helen says that he enjoyed it and says that it is about body language. However, he doesn’t have any hips. Todd says that he really needed to get a handle on the hips and says that he was stiff as a board for the wrong reasons. They get their scores: Todd with a 4, Helen with a 6 and Josh with a 6. Total score of 16/30.

Zoe Cramond & Aric Yegudkin are next. They get into rehearsals and they are dancing to a song from “Nine”. Zoe tries to slap him to get the character and she isn’t that rough. Dancing the Paso Doble, they come out and dance. They go to the judges and Zoe talks about how she has 4 cracked ribs and she took a pill and she is fine. Helen says that she loved it. She says that she handled it great. She says that the corset is a good idea and says that she is a beautiful dancer. Josh says that was freaking hot and amazing. He says that he wanted to stand up. He says that she is destined for amazing things. Todd says that he is a traditionalist about the Paso Loble. She gave it a soft edge instead of the strong edge. He says that they were amazing, but there was a battle within him about it. They get their scores: Todd with a 8, Helen with a 10 and Josh with a 10. Total score of 28/30.

The next couple up next is Kerri-Anne Kennerley & Carmelo Pizzino. They get into the rehearsals and they are going to dance to a song from “Cabaret”. Kerri-Anne tries to pick it up quicker and Carmelo says that she needs to trust herself more. She gets emotional that she can’t get the steps. Dancing the Samba, they come out and dance. They go to the judges and Todd says that they know that she does her best, but says that it wasn’t a Samba. He says that the song was not a Samba song. He says that it was entertaining as freestyle. Helen says that there were Samba variation, but Todd was right about saying that Carmelo needed to speak up. She says that Kerri-Anne’s crying was not needed because she is really great. She says that she cannot take over in the dance. Josh says that he enjoyed it and says that she was thinking too much though. They get their scores: Todd with a 6, Helen with a 6 and Josh with a 7. Total score of 19/30.

Jessica Watson & Damien Samuel are up next. They get into rehearsals and they are doing a song to “The Sound Of Music”. To help her with her right and left, he ties a ribbon her. Dancing the Waltz, they come out and dance. They go to the judges and Josh says that it was nice, but he feels like he has seen it all before and says that he needs more from her. Helen says that she thinks that she is amazing and says that she has put in a huge amount of hours in practicing. The routine was simple, but within her capabilities. Todd says that he completely disagrees with Josh and says that he has never seen someone who started the ways she did and came out and did a performance like that. He says that the dance was amazing. They get their scores: Todd with a 8, Helen with a 7 and Josh with a 6. Total score of 21/30.

Brendan Fevola & Jessica Raffa are up next. They get to rehearsals and they get to dance to a song from “Crazy For You”. He brings in his mates to help give him some enthusiasm. He says that he wants to make sure that he is going to step it up. Dancing the Quick-Step, they come out and dance. They go to the judges and Helen says that his enthusiasm is fabulous, but the steps go with the music and he has to listen to it. She says that it was slightly better though. Josh says that he loved the beginning. He says that he can work on the clarity, but he is Football-atainment. Todd says that he moves too fast even in the Quick-Step. He says that his attitude is great, but he needs to finesse the dance. They get their scores: Todd with a 7, Helen with a 7 and Josh with a 9. Total score of 23/30.

Guy Sebastian performs on stage and shows what it means to be a multi-platinum recording artist. He sings his new single “Gold”. Afterward, Daniel talks to him and Guy says that he was working on the album for two years and he wishes his wife a Happy Mother’s Day.

Last up for the night before the results is Johnny Ruffo & Luda Kroitor. They get into rehearsals and they are doing a song from “Grease”. He has a problem with his direction and practices by himself to get the best results. He says that he has been working hard. Dancing the Quick-Step, they come out and dance. They go to the judges and Todd says that he loved it and they have moved up. Helen says that this week is a little better just like last week. Josh says that he needs to be a little crisper. He says that he loved it when he let go. He says that the thinking face needs to go away. They get their scores: Todd with a 9, Helen with an 8 and Josh with an 8. Total score of 25/30.

The performances are over and they dramatically call everyone to the stage. Due to Shannon’s exit from the competition, there are no eliminations for this week. Next Week is Movie night with Florence and the Machine are performing.
