Season 11, Episode 2 - Recap

Elimination time and the night recaps the dances of Audrina & Patrick, Michael & Chelsie, Kyle & Lacey, Rick & Cheryl, Margaret & Louis, Brandy & Maksim, Bristol & Mark, Kurt & Anna, Florence & Corky, The Situation & Katrina, Jennifer & Derek, and David & Kim are evaluated and revisited. Each act talks about how they felt about it. For Audrina Patridge and Patrick, she tells that she was trying to stay focused and had a lot of fun. Kurt Warner wanted to connect and he thinks that he did best. Kyle Massey and Lacey backstage and Kyle gets a little flirty. Rick Fox and Cheryl talk about the comments of Carrie Ann said and tells her to focus on the dancer. Margaret Cho and Louis backstage tell that Margaret took the routine of the comedy because that is how she feels. Brandy and Maksim talk about how they did and she tells that she is going to give it her all. Bristol Palin and and Mark tells that she did great and Bristol tells that she could have more face. Florence Henderson and Corky talk and tell that they are only going to get stronger and his son sees them kiss. Michael Bolton and Chelsie talk and Michael tells that he can rely on her. Mike “The Situation and Katrina talk and he tells that he tried hard. Jennifer Grey and Derek talk and that Jennifer tells that it all came out. David Hasselhoff and Kym talk and Kym tells that she was proud of him.

The musical event is ready to start and they get prepared. Santana plays with dancers dancing on the stage with Maxsim choerography. Everything is up for grabs. David & Kym 15, Margaret & Louis 15, Situation & Katrina 15, Michael & Chelsie 16, Bristol & Mark 18, Florence & Corky 18, Audrina & Tony 19 Kurt & Anna 19, Rick & Cheryl 22, Kyle & Lacey 23, Brandy & Maks 23, and Jennifer & Derek 24. On stage first are the 4 lowest dancers. The first couple safe is Michael & Chelsie. The second safe is Margaret & Louis. Situation & Katrina and David & Kym are in jeopardy.

Adam Corolla’s “Tour de dance” and he talks about the evolution of dance with a hint of dry humor that Adam does best. Starting in Los Angeles and ending in France. Chris Douetry sings “September”. With dancers to at to the show, it goes nicely. Brooke is backstage with 4 top performing stars and she asks Brandy how nervous is she. Brandy tells that she is really nervous. Kyle tells that he hopes everyone liked it. Rick tells that he enjoyed himself. Jennifer tells that she can’t wait to find out the results. Back with Tom, Len tells that last night was fabulous. On the stage second are the 4 highest performers The first couple safe is Jennifer & Derek. The second safe is Rick & Cheryl. Kyle & Lacy and Brandy & Maxsim are in jeopardy.

Next after the break on stage “Santana” and India Aree sings with dancers in the background. Audrina tells that she was glad to go first and will never forget. Florence tells that she wants to come back so badly and she is having a blast. Kurt tells that it feels great performing. Bristol tells that her mom had a party and think that she did well. The dancers arrive for the Dancing with the Stars and that they all talk to each other and they all tell that they have fun talking to each other. They get ready and the reality sinks in and Panic. They tell that it is going to be tough. The 4 couple that landed in the middle come on stage. The next couple safe is Audrina & Tony. Florence & Corky are the next. Bristol & Mark, Kurt & Anna are in jeopardy.

After the break, a special performance of Santana and Chris Doughtry perform and dancers go on the stage to add to the fun of the signing. Tom tells that it is a treat and Chris tells Michael Bolton is his pick and Santana tells that Kurt Warner’s got the flow. The scene cuts to the professional dancers and that they are putting their work on the line. The pressure never goes away and they can’t let them down. Maxism tells that if he goes home he will take full responsibility. They tell that they did the best but they hope it is enough.

Situation & Katrina and David & Kym, Kyle & Lacy, Brandy & Maxsim, Audrina & Tony. Florence & Corky. Bristol & Mark, Kurt & Anna are the remaining acts to be decided on David tells that they have done their best and Brandy doesn’t know what is going on and it is nervous. The Situation tells that he is looking to improve. They all go on stage and the next couple coming back is Brandy & Max. Also returning is Bristol & Mark. Two more couples are safe. Situation & Katrina and David & Kym, Kyle & Lacy and Kurt & Anna remain on stage. The next couple safe is Kurt & Anna. The next is The Situation & Katrina.

David & Kym, Kyle & Lacy are the remaining two couples. Their families tell that they did an amazing job and tell that there was a lot of chemistry. The couple with the lowest is David & Kim. The couple gets to share one last dance together.
