Season 11, Episode 8 - Recap
Results time and the dancers on the list for elimination are: Audrina Patridge and Tony, Kyle Massey and Lacey, Rick Fox and Cheryl, Brandy and Maks, Bristol Pailin and Mark, Kurt Warner and Anna, Florence Henderson and Corky, The Situation and Karina, and Jennifer Grey and Derek. The dancers come out and get right to the show.
The eliminations begin and Audrina & Tony, Brandy & Maks, and Jennifer & Derek are the first to see if they are safe or not and they are all safe from elimination and the remaining 6 couples will have to await the fate. The scene cuts to the audience about what they tell that they have their favorite and Carson from “Queer Eye for the Strait Guy” tells that Kurt is going to go. Len tells that the routine that was the best was Jennifer and Derek’s Argentine Tango and they receive a standing ovation from the audience.
Goo Goo Dolls perform an old classic and show that they still have it as performers. They sing and showcase their sound greatly.
Brooke meets with Kyle & Lacy and Bristol & Mark and Kyle tells that Mark just wanted to take off his shirt when Mark tells that the judges were a little harsh. Down in the audience, Tom plays the clip where Len tells that he would never take off his shirt, but they show a clip from years back and Len has his shirt off. The next couple safe is Kyle & Lacy. Bristol & Mark are in jeopardy.
The eliminations continue with Rick & Cheryl and Kurt & Anna. The next couple coming back next week is Rick & Cheryl. Kurt & Anna are in jeopardy. They show a clip of how to get a 10 with Len. He tells that they get 1 point just to show up, 2 points to move the left foot, 3 points to move both feet, 4 points to get the dance moves all right, 5 for musicality, 6 if he can see the potential, 7 for the chemistry, 8 for no mistakes and has to see that the dancer has confidence, 9 for them to be really good with no mistakes, and a 10 for having all of it and to be perfect and magical. He tells that if they have all of that, then they will get a 10 from him.
Next are Macy’s Stars of dance in “Forever Tango” and the pros show how it is done with their version of what the tango should be. They dance their hearts out and have a lot of fun on stage.
Florence and the Machine perform and they perform their new single great and show what it means to be a recording artist. They perform well and get the audience into their sound.
Brooke is with the last two couple awaiting their fate, The Situation and Florence. Brooke asks Florence how they feel about the results from the judges Elimination time again and Florence & Corky and The Situation & Karina enter the stage and the next couple coming back next week is Florence & Corky. The Situation & Karina are in jeopardy.
The scene cuts to a day and life of a celebrity and how it is for them during all of the glamour and moving around all day. Kurt & Abba, Bristol & Mark and The Situation & Karina are up on the stage for elimination and the dancers safe are Kurt and Anna.
This leaves Bristol & Mark and The Situation & Karina. The couple leaving the competition is The Situation & Karina. He tells that he was committed to the competition and that he tried his best in the competition. TV theme night is next week.
