Season 12, Episode 7 - Recap

With Wendy Williams and Tony eliminated from the competition, Kristie Alley & Maksim, Chris Jericho & Cheryl, Chelsea Kane & Mark, Sugar Ray Leonard & Anna, Ralph Macchio & Karina, Petra Nemcova & Dmitry, Romeo & Chelsie, Hines Ward & Kym, and Kendra Wilkinson & Louis remain in the battle for the mirror ball trophy. This week is Classical Week and the dancers are going to have to show off their talent with the orchestra in back. They show a clip of the pros talking about the week and how it is going to be exciting. Kiki & Oksana from “The Troupe”, dance and show off their moves to a Latin piece.

Romeo & Chelsie are up and they get into the dance room and Romeo gets into the mood of the dance this week and Chelsie is trying to get Romeo to lossen up. Romeo goes to the basketball court to get some aggression out and Chelsie says that he needs to put that enthusiasm into his dance. Dancing the Paso Doble, they come out with passion. They go to the judges and Len says that he says that it was full of passion and intensity. He says that he needs to work on his technique a little. Bruno tells that it was passionate and he managed to get it right. Carrie Ann says that there was a little bit of a lift, but it was full of swagger. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 7, Len with an 8 and Bruno with an 8. Total score of 23/30.

Next up are Kendra & Louis. This week Kendra says that she is going to have to dance elegantly and she tells that it is like Mafia sounding and she has ideas. Louis is pushing Kendra to the limit. Dancing the Viennese’s Waltz, they come out and they attack the
They go to the judges and Bruno says that that Kendra knows that she messed it up and he tells that Bruno says that she needs to be the Black Swan. Carrie Ann says that she could tell that Kendra was holding back tonight. Len tells that Bruno forgets that she is not a professional and tells that she tried. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 6, Len with a 6 and Bruno with a 6. Total score of an 18/30.

Sugar Ray & Anna are up next. They get to rehearsals and she says that they are going to have to go classical and Sugar Ray gets a little frustrated and Anna takes Sugar Ray to Ballet school and he has tights. He tells that he better get a better score than 20. Dancing the Viennese’s Waltz, they come out and dance elegantly. They go to the judges and Carrie Ann says that it was like watching a six year old dance recital and she fell in love with the dance. Len says that he turned into the Sugar Plum Fairy and it was really entertaining. Bruno tells that it had a wonderful twist and it wasn’t perfect, but entertaining. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 7, Len with a 7 and Bruno with a 7. Total score of 21/30.

Next to dance are Petra & Dmitry. They get into the dance room and Dmitry says that it is all about technique and Dmitry needs her to be aggressive. He has Petra to pose for cameras and show her angry face. Dancing the Pasa Doble, they come out and it is fierce that she breaks her microphone. Len says that he thought it was going to be bad, but it was alright. Bruno starts to take off his clothes and says that it was great. Carrie Ann says that she is on a roll and it was great. Len says that it would be a better panel if Carrie Ann was in the middle. Carrie Ann says that it was passionate. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with an 8, Len with a 7 and Bruno with an 8. Total score of 23/30.

They take a break from the celebrities and Peta & Tristan from “The Troupe” dance to show how the pros do it and dance the Waltz. They are flawless in their movements and really show off how it is done.

Next up are Ralph & Karina. They enter into rehearsals and Romeo & Juliet is their theme and they have to be sexy. He tells that he is going to make this the night to remember. Dancing the Waltz, they come out and they move around with no mistakes. They go to the judges and Bruno tells that it was heartfelt and he loved that he continued the lines. Carrie Ann says that she was swept in and it was great. Len says that he is back and it was good. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with an 8, Len with an 8 and Bruno with a 9. Total score of 25/30. The highest score of the night!

Hines & Kym are next and they enter into this week with Kym telling that there are no lyrics and that she is going to have to have a hard time. Hines says that it is by far the hardest dance and he is not really confident. She works with him and he gets it. Dancing the Pasa Doble, they come out and explode on the dance floor. They go to the judges and Carrie Ann says that Hines was in the zone and he was in control. Len says that he is the most determined of the celebrities. Bruno says that he has the killer instinct and it was truly explosive. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 9, Len with an 8 and Bruno with an 8. Total score with 25/30.

Chelsea & Mark are up next. This week she doesn’t want to be in third place again and says that she wants to be pushed hard. They get in the rehearsal room and get to learn the dance. There are no lyrics and they have to push. Dancing the Viennese’s Waltz, they come out dancing and it is elegant. They go to the judges and Len says that Mark is a great choreographer and Chelsea is a great dancer but sees something that he doesn’t like. Len says that Mark is not helping her. However, Bruno says that it was great and magical and the best technical of the night. Carrie Ann agrees with Bruno. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 9, Len with a 8 and Bruno with a 9. Total score with 26/30. The Best Score of the night!

Up next are Chris & Cheryl. They get to the rehearsals and Cheryl says that he is going to have to be arrogant. Chris says that he is always in the ring and will do it. Dancing the Pasa Doble, they come out and they are flawless. They go to the judges and Bruno tells that it was great with the accents in the music. Carrie Ann says that he was connected and loved how he moved. Len says that the dance wasn’t bad, but the music grew and says that the music conquered him. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with an 8, Len with a 7and Bruno with an 8. Total score of 23/30.

Last couple of the night is Kristie & Maksim. In the rehearsal room, Maksim says that it is going to be an elegant dance. Kristie is determined, but she hurts her hip. She forces herself and doesn’t care if she is screaming in pain. Dancing the Waltz, they come out and they do a good job. They go to the judges and Carrie Ann says that she is the queen of the unexpected mishaps and that she doesn’t know how her shoe came off. Len says that her technique needs to improve. Bruno says that she did well and it was good. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 7, Len with a 7 and Bruno with an 8. Total score of 22/30. The dancers have danced and now America will choose their favorites.
