With Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna out of the competition, Kirstie Alley & Maksim, Chris Jericho & Cheryl, Chelsea Kane & Mark, Ralph Macchio & Karina, Petra Nemcova & Dmitry, Romeo & Chelsie, Hines Ward & Kym, and Kendra Wilkinson & Louis remain to fight it out for the mirror ball trophy. Tonight is American Night and they kick off the night in style.

Ralph & Karina are first of the night and they get into the rehearsal room and Ralph is determined to get back on the top of the leaderboard. They get their moves down and Karina focuses on moving Ralph’s hips. Dancing the Samba, they come out in their country best and do a great job with the dance moves. They go to the judges and Len says that this wasn’t terrible, but he is not consistent in his dancing. He tells that he needs more rhythm. Bruno tells that it needed fire down below and he has to see the Latin feel to the dance. Carrie Ann says that it is American week and that it doesn’t need to be Latin. She says that it was great. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with an 8, Len with a 7 and Bruno with a 7. Total score of 22/30.

Chris & Cheryl are next and they get into the practice room and right away, Chris tells that he doesn’t want to get a 7 from Len anymore and does an impression of him that is halfway decent. Dancing the Viennese’s Waltz, they come out and gracefully move around the dance floor. They go to the judges and Bruno tells that it was big yet graceful and says that it was absolutely wonderful. Carrie Ann tells that he is so good and technique is perfect. Len tells that it is American Week and it is good that Cheryl is showing of the “Rocky Mountains”. She jokes and tells that she feels violated now. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 9, Len with an 8 and Bruno with a 9.Total score of 26/30.

Petra & Dmitry are up and they get into their dance routine and Petra tells that she has never heard of Elvis growing up. They learn their moves and hope for the best. Dancing the Quick-Step, they get out and it is good. Petra misses a few steps. They go to the judges and Carrie Ann says that Petra took a step back and got a little out of sync. Len says that she coped rather well with the dance and work on little things. Bruno tells that he disagrees with Len and Carrie Ann and says that the handling was a little dodgy. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 7, Len with a 7 and Bruno with an 8. Total score of 22/30

Romeo & Chelsie are up next and they get into rehearsal and brags that he beat his dad because he is in week 5. He says that he wants to show that he deserves to be on top. Dancing the Foxtrot, they come out and show off what they have to remain in the competition. It is good to watch. They go to the judges and Len says that there are bits and pieces that he didn’t like, but he did a good job. Bruno tells that that it was well done. Carrie Ann tells that was so cool and sophisticated and did a great job. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 9, Len with an 8 and Bruno with a 9. Total score of 26/30.

Hines & Kym are up next and they get into the rehearsal room and they try to make the dance romantic and he tells that he has his eye on the prize. Dancing the Rumba, they come out and
They go to the judges and Bruno tells that there was musicality and made the ladies swoon. Carrie Ann says that he has the best hip action and says that it was romantic. Len tells that it is natural and charming and it was Hine’s best dance. They get their scores: Carrie Annie with a 9, Len with a 9 and Bruno with a 9. Total score of 27/30. The best score of the night!

Kirstie & Maksim are next and they are going to give it some power. Kirstie brings in John Travolta into show as the “Dance Doctor” He is funny as always and tells them to have fun. Dancing the Foxtrot they come out without any mistakes. They go to the judges and Carrie Ann said that it was a little crazy, but it was her best dance ever. Len tells that it was attitude, but it wasn’t his cup of tea. Bruno tells that he didn’t know she was that sexy. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with an 8, Len with a 7 and Bruno with an 8. Total score of 23/30.

Kendra & Louis and she tells that she feels like she is being attacked when Carrie Ann told that she is afraid of elegance. Louis tells that she looked nervous and they get into their rehearsal. Dancing the 1000th competitive dance to the Foxtrot, they comes out and They go to the judges and Len says that it was much better than last week and she enjoyed herself. Bruno tells that it was good, but he can see that she still thinking of the steps more than just going for it. Carrie Ann tells that it is the most confident she has seen Kendra and tells that she is a fighter. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with an 8, Len with a 7 and Bruno with a 7. Total score of 22/30.

Last of the evening is Chelsea & Mark. They get into the rehearsal room and she tells that she is going to break every rule, but Mark tells that he is keeping it strait. Dancing the Samba, they come out and they show that they have what it takes to stay in the competition. They go to the judges and Bruno tells that she had all the energy and the best. He says that she is a really good dancer. Carrie Ann tells that it was fantastic again. Len says that it was real good fun. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 9, Len with an 8 and Bruno with a 9. Total score of 26/30.
