Individual and Team dance night and Kirstie Alley & Maksim, Chelsea Kane & Mark, Ralph Macchio & Karina, Romeo & Chelsie, Hines Ward & Kym, and Kendra Wilkinson & Louis are all going to have to prove that they want to stay in the competition longer. Donnie Burns joins the judges table and they show a clip of how he is a living legend in the ballroom. Tom asks what Donnie thinks and he says that production, music, lighting and the crew are all amazing. Len says that he met Donnie and has been judging him all his life.
The team dance first consists of Romeo & Chelsie, Ralph & Karina and Chelsea & Mark. Chelsea & Mark are team captains to make up for Team Chelsea. On the first rehearsal, Ralph feels like the fish out of water and Ralph is impressed with the younger celebrities. By the time of the final rehearsal, the pressure is up. Dancing the Cha-Cha, they come out and they are amazing with their dance moves. They go to the judges and Len says that it was great and thought they did a great job. Bruno says that he loved how they went full throttle, but says that they went off. However, Carrie Ann disagrees and it was good and says that Ralph held his own. Donnie says that they did a great job. They get their scores: Donnie with an 8, Carrie Ann with an 8, Len with a 7 and Bruno with a 7. Total score of 30/40.
Next are Kendra & Louis, Kirstie & Maksim and Hines & Kym to dance and the team leader is Hines. Team Hines get into rehearsal and Kirstie says that they are the team with the most butts and they get together and have a fun time on it. However, they try their hardest to learn their moves. They work on the synchronization and Kirstie says that when in doubt, shake your butt. Dancing the Cha-Cha, they come out and they do a good job. They go to the judges and Bruno says that it was good to use their butts and they were nice. Carrie Ann says that Kirstie was a little late in the group, but great on the solo part. Donnie says that he didn’t really like that. Len says that the group has the boobie award and says that they did good. They get their scores: Donnie with a 7, Carrie Ann with a 7, Len with a 8 and Bruno with a 8. Total score of 30/40. They tie.
Ricardo & Julia, professional dancers, do a dance and they are fast on their feet and very entertaining. Afterward, they show a clip of the pro dancers talking about the big pros: Luca Baricchi, who brought swagger to the dance floor and great technique. Shirley Ballas is the best of all time because of the fearless attitude. It is Mark’s mother and he says that she is amazing at dancing.
Chelsea & Mark are up first of the night and Mark says that they are going to get into the aggressive part of the dance and Shirley Ballas comes in and Chelsea says that it is hard because it is serious. She tells that she needs to get serious and show the public that she is fearce. Dancing the Paso Doble, they come out and are in sync with one another. They go to the judges and Len says that he was confused over it. He says that it was too much aggression. Bruno says that she came out with almost violent and it was great and creative. Carrie Ann says that tonight was the best version of the Paso Doble. Donnie says that he was a little bit confused and Bruno gets lippy with Donnie. They get their scores: Donnie with an 8, Carrie Anne with a 9, Len with an 8 and Bruno with a 9. Total score of 34/40. Grand total of 64/80
Kendra & Louis are up next and Louis says that there is no easy choreography and they have to get it. Louis says that he believes that she can do it, but Kendra is hiding in her shell and is having a hard time. Luca Baricchi comes in to help them with it and says that the goal is that they have to use every part of their body. He says that they need to recognize their mistakes. Dancing the Tango, they come out and are really good with their footwork. They go to the judges and Bruno says that she had a little too hard of a grip on Louis. Carrie Ann says that it was sophisticated and great. Donnie says that she was out of her cocoon last week, but she did a fabulous job. Len says that she did a great job with the choreography and says that Bruno is right and has to lift up her frame. They get their scores: Donnie with an 8, Carrie Ann with an 8, Len with a 7 and Bruno with an 8. Total score of 31/40. Grand total of 61/80.
Kirstie & Maksim are next and Shirley Ballas comes in to show them a little bit of what they need to be doing in the jive and the different footwork that they need to work on. They get into each other’s faces and Maxim pushes Kirstie to the point where he knows that she is capable of going. Dancing the Jive, they come out and they kiss on the dance floor and Kirstie gets a little lost in the steps. Afterward, they go to the judges and Carrie Ann says that she loves that it was entertaining, but it was out of sync. Donnie says that he liked it and says that it wasn’t the best, but she has a spirit of it. Len says that it was fun and playful, but it wasn’t the best Jive. Bruno says that it was superb as an entertainer. They get their scores: Donnie with a 9, Carrie Ann with a 7, Len with a 6 and Bruno with an 8. Total score of 30/40. Grand total of 60/80.
Arunous and Katuza dance and they do an exotic dance together that shows off their talent as professional dancers on the ballroom stage level and it is great to watch.
Ralph and Karina are next and Karina and Ralph wants to get back on the stage and show them what he can do and Luca Baricchi comes in and gets them to polish their act. They feel confident. Dancing the Quick Step, they come out and they are flawless in their movements
They go to the judges and Donnie says that last week he was his hero and his footwork was great this week. Len says that they had great footwork and says that he needs to fix his upper body. Bruno says that it was so vivid and vibrant and he sells it. Carrie Ann says that Ralph is back and this is the way to attack the competition. They get their scores: Donnie with a 10, Carrie Ann with a 9, Len with an 8 and Bruno with a 9. Total score of 36/40. Grand total 66/80.
Hines and Kym are next up and Hines says that the “Silent Assassin” is coming up and getting the leader board spot. Luca Baricchi helps him out with thinking of the story and Hines is taking in every word and instruction. Jerome “The Bus” Bettis and Al Costa come in and start laughing. Hines and wants to show off to them and says that he is learning a lot. Dancing the Tango, they come out and they move perfect. They go to the judges and Len says that it was a mixture for him and it was a little dainty. He liked it overall though. Bruno says that he liked it and says that it was a killer tango. Carrie says that he takes command of the dance, but there were parts of off balance. Donnie says that he has a winner mentality and has really good charisma. They get their scores: Donnie with a 9, Carrie Ann with a 9, Len with an 8 and Bruno with a 10. Total score of 36/40. Grand total of 66/80.
Romeo & Chelsie are the last to perform and Romeo wants to take the leader board. Shirley Ballas comes in and has Romeo grab her hips so that she can show the moment and they have a lot of fun in the rehearsal of it all. Dancing the Samba, they come out and there isn’t much moving around Romeo’s hips. The go to the judges and Bruno says that he can move, but he doesn’t get the right bounce. Carrie Ann says that it wasn’t Samba shaking and says that they need to work on the technique. Donnie says that he has seen him grow, but says that it is a balance issue. Len says that he didn’t like the dance and they are at the nitty gritty part of the dance. They get their scores: Donnie with a 7, Carrie Ann with an 8, Len with a 7 and Bruno with an 8. Total score of 30/40. Grand total of 60/80. The dancers have given it their all and who will make it to the next round.
