Season 12, Episode 18 - Recap

It is the Results show and the Finals are in the crosshairs. Kirstie Alley & Maksim, Chelsea Kane & Mark, Ralph Macchio & Karina, and Hines Ward & Kym are in danger of leaving the competition. They kick off the night with “The Troupe” and some pros dance and they are fantastic as usual.

Warren Sapp, runner up from one of the seasons of “Dancing with the Stars”, comes out and talks about his free-style and offers a commentary. Donny Osmond, the winner of Season 9 of DWTS, comes down and says that it is the greatest show on television. He offers commentary to his free-style dance.

The pros talk about the Free-Style and that is what wins the competition and it is up to the couple to do what they want to do so that they can win. Apolo Antonohno comes out and gives some commentary on his dance when he had the free-style to do. After a break, “The Troupe” and other pros dance. Brooke Burke, winner of Season 7 of DWTS, comes and she commentates on her free-style.

Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke perform their dance that they have been rehearsing and they get a standing ovation at the end. They go to Tom and Tom asks about his free-style and he says that it was a lot of fun. He says that his was the best free-style no matter what.

They go up to the semi-finalists and Tom asks Hines & Kym tell that they are going to play it safe and more creative. They are going to do a Jackson 5 thing. Kirstie says that there are going to be a lot of aerials. The song has a real good title. Maks says that he is game for it. Ralph & Karina say that they are going to do an Old Hollywood theme. Benwagon the movie is their song choice. Chelsea says that they are going to have a lot of fun with it and take full advantage of the free-style.

They kick off the Results part of the show and Tom and Brooke talk to the judges and ask what dance they would like to see again. Len says that Chelsea & Mark’s Rumba is the dance they want to see.

Hines & Kym come up for their results of the night and they recap of what happened to Kym and how they got through it. They are through to the Finals!

Stevie Nicks sings her new single “Secret Love” and she shows that she still has it as a performer and it is great.

Pit Bull featuring Ne-O and Nire sing “Tonight”. They come out and get the crowd going and it showed their talent as artists.

Chelsea & Mark come up for their results of the night and they show their recap of their dances. They reveal that they are definitely going to be dancing in the Finals!

Hines & Kym are doing the Quickstep and Chelsea & Mark are going to do the Samba for next week’s free-style. Next is a story of Tayla Kelley who has used dance to cope with her condition of immune deficiency disease. She dances with Chelsie and Lacey and afterward, they talk to her and she tells that she pretends that no one is watching to fight off the nerves.

They show a clip of moments where the celebrities struggled. Stevie Nicks performs a classic Fleetwood Mac song “Landslide”. She shows that she hasn’t changed at all.

Ralph & Karina and Kirstie & Maks come up for the final results to find out who gets the last spot to the Finals. That spot goes to Kirstie & Maks. Ralph tells that he will remember the Foxtrot and it was a lot of fun. So it is Hines & Kym, Chelsea & Mark and Kirstie & Maks in the FINALS next week!
