Season 12, Episode 19 - Recap
It is Finals Week and Chelsea Kane & Mark, Kirstie Alley & Maksim, and Hines Ward & Kym are in it to win the mirror ball trophy. There are two rounds of the competition tonight and only one will be crowned the winner.
First up is Chelsea & Mark. Carrie Ann says that she picked a dance that will help them be sensulal. Carrie Ann helps them get their dance polished. Dancing the Samba, they come out and they do an amazing job. They go to the judges and Len says that he’ll be watching her and he liked it. Bruno says that she was like an ultra-sexy bombshell. Carrie Ann says that it was hot and it was so what she wanted. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 10, Len with a 9 and Bruno with a 10. Total score of 29/30.
Next up is Kirstie & Maksim. Bruno says that he picked the particular dance to help Kirstie show off her lines in her dance more. They learn their routine and are ready. Dancing the Samba, they come out and are very great at what they do. They go to the judges and Bruno says that it was soft and rich. He says that she was looking at the floor. Carrie Ann says that she saw a great Samba. Len says that it was appealing and had a lovely naturalness. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 9, Len with a 9 and Bruno with a 9. Total score of 27/30.
Last up for the first round is Hines & Kym. Len comes in and says that he picked the dance to get his feet sharper. Dancing the Quick Step, they come out and are outstanding. They go to the judges and Carrie Ann says that it was so much fun. Len says that the dance wasn’t quite there. Bruno says that he got it for him and it was full of excitement. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 10, Len with a 9 and Bruno with a 10. Total score of 29/30.
Chelsea & Mark kick off the freestyle part of the Finals. They come out and do an amazing job. They go to the judges and Len says that this was full on and it was fantastic. Bruno says that it was electrifying and it was so creative and imaginative. Carrie Ann says that it was great and starts dancing. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 10, Len with a 10 and Bruno with a 10. Total score of 30/30 with a combined score of 59/60
Kirstie & Maks are up for their freestyle and they come out and do an impressive dance with lifts. Bruno says that he never thought of Kirstie of doing lifts at all. Carrie Ann says that she dances that she is the poster woman to women over 60. Len says that he didn’t expect the lifts at all an it was great. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 9, Len with a 9 and Bruno with a 9. Total score of 27/30 with a combined score of 54/60.
Hines & Kym are up for the last dance of the round and they come out for their free-style and are outstanding. They go to the judges and Carrie Ann says that was risky and it wasn’t just halftime show, it was the who Super Bowl. Len says that he gave it his all. Bruno says that he created a crowd pleasing event. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 10, Len with a 10 and Bruno with a 10. Total score of 30/30 with a combined score of 59/60. The dances are over and tomorrow is the season Finale where they decide who is going to win the mirror ball trophy!
