Season 13, Episode 13 - Recap

With Chaz Bono & Lacey out of the competition, Rob Kardashian & Cheryl, Nancy Grace & Tristan, David Arquette & Kym, Hope Solo & Maksim, J.R. Martinez & Karina and Ricki Lake & Derek are dancing and this time it is Halloween Week. The celebrities come out dressed in their best and get ready for tonight.

First up is David Arquette & Kym. They get into rehearsals and Kym starts to get the steps and they have fun with it. They bring in an illusionist to teach David some tricks. Dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha, they come out and do a good job. They go to the judges and Len says that it was lots of tricks and treats and says that it was it overall well done. Bruno says that he is a natural with turning tricks and says that he was amazing at times. Carrie Ann says that he has improved a lot and says that it was great. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with an 8, Len with an 8 and Bruno with an 8. Total score of 24/30.

Next up is J.R. Martinez & Karina. They get into rehearsals and they have a problem with communications. They hug and get into character. Dancing the Tango, they come out and do a good job. They go to the judges and Bruno says that it was another solid performance, but he lost it a couple of times. Carrie Ann says that they still captured the tone of everything. Len says that it was sub-standard of what he expects from him. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 9, Len with an 8 and Bruno with an 8. Total score of 25/30.

Nancy Grace & Tristan are next. They get into rehearsals and they have a fun time trying to learn the steps. Dancing the Jive, they come out and they have a fun time. They go to the judges and Carrie Ann says that this week wasn’t so good and says that it can in and out of the dance moves. Len says that it wasn’t a good dance for her and says that there was no bounce. Bruno says that either the Devil got her or her shoes are too small. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 7, Len with a 7 and Bruno with a 7. Total score of 21/30.

Next up is Rob Kardashian & Cheryl. They get into rehearsals and learn the steps and J.R. messes with Cheryl and scares her. They learn the moves with progress. Dancing the Tango, they come out and do a great job. They go to the judges and Len says that was well done and it had the right amount of attack. Bruno says that he was really leading and it was really good. He says that he has to watch out for his bum. Carrie Ann says that it was fun and says that it was his best dance so far. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 9, Len with an 8 and Bruno with an 8. Total score of 25/30.

Ricki Lake & Derek are next. They get into rehearsals and Ricki’s rib is hurting her. She gets it checked out and she has a bruised rib. Derek knows that when he was dancing with Jennifer Grey, she was injured too. Ricki won’t let it get her. Dancing the Paso Doble, they come out and are amazing. They go to the judges and Bruno says that it was a blizzard of passion and says that it was another incredible performance. Carrie Ann says that her shaping was amazing. Len says that the shapes were fantastic and loved the twist and turn. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 9, Len with a 9 and Bruno with a 9. Total score of 27/30. The highest score of the night!

Hope Solo & Maks are last up for the first round of dances. Teddy from “The Troupe” comes into help because he hurt his toe and Hope has a little bit more fun with Teddy. Maks comes out in a Werewolf costume. She has fun learning the moves. Dancing the Samba, they come out and have fun. They go to the judges and Carrie Ann says that it is nice to see the happiness and says that it was better then that too. Len says that she coped well with a difficult dance and says that it was good. Bruno says that it was better then before. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with an 8, Len with an 8 and Bruno with an 8. Total score of 24/30.

The second part of dances begins and first up is Team Tango with David & Kym, Tristan & Nancy and J.R & Karina. They get in to rehearsals and David helps J.R. get into the Tango moves and they talk to their partners and they try to come together. Dancing the Tango, they all come out and do a good job. They go to the judges and Len tells them the parts when they were together were great, but individually, it was a nightmare. Bruno agrees that they messed up with their individual dances. Carrie Ann mimics everyone. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with an 8, Len with a 7 and Bruno with an 8. Total score of 23/30

Team Paso are next and they get into character and they learn their steps and Maks gets frustrated with Hope. Derek steps in to teach more. Dancing the Paso Doble, they come out and they are amazing. They go to the judges and Bruno says that it was powerful and fantastic and amazing. Carrie Ann says that it was amazing. Len says that their indivisal parts were fantastic. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 9, Len with an 8 and Bruno with a 9. Total score of 26/30. That is it for the night, tomorrow are the results.
