Season 13, Episode 19 - Recap
With Hope Solo & Maks out of the competition, it is up to Rob Kardashian & Cheryl, Hope Solo & Maksim, J.R. Martinez & Karina or Ricki Lake & Derek to win the coveted mirror-ball trophy. It is the Finals and tonight they are going to have to dance two dances. This includes the Freestyle dance. They kick off the night.
Ricki and Derek are first and in rehearsals, Carrie Ann comes in and gives Ricki some pointers on how to be sexy and to make sure that she doesn’t forget that. Dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha, they come out and do a good job. They go to the judges and Len says that it was action packed and it is a dance deserving of the finals. Bruno says that it is great to see her smile and says that there was a slight lack of fluidity, but says that it was great. Carrie Ann says that she was great except at some parts. They get their score: Carrie Ann with a 9, Len with a 9 and Bruno with a 9. Total score of 27/30.
Rob & Cheryl are next up. They get to rehearsals and Bruno comes in and shows Rob what to do with his body. Dancing the Waltz, they come out and do an amazing job. They go to the judges and Bruno says that he was full of expression, but missed a few steps. However, it was great. Carrie says that Rob is the male version of Cinderella and says that it was great. Len says that his posture and holds were amazing and occasionally it got a little heavy. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 9, Len with a 9 and Bruno with a 9. Total score of 27/30.
Last up for the first round are J.R. & Karina. They get into rehearsals and Len comes in to help J.R. with his hips and says that Karina has yet to win the Mirror-ball. Dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha, they come out and do a fantastic job. They go to the judges and Carrie Ann says that everyone falls in love with him, but his musicality was off. Len says that it was brave that he did it solo and says that wasn’t that good and that he attacked it too much. Bruno says that he loved the mood that he set. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with an 8, Len with a 7 and Bruno with a 9. Total score of 24/30.
The Freestyle Round begins and Ricki & Derek are first up. They tell that they want to be on top of the leaderboard and come out and do a fantastic job. They go to the judges and Len says that it was fun and entertaining and says that it was a great number. Bruno says that was the most demanding of dances and says that they did a good job. Carrie says that there was nothing wrong with that and they showed that they were great. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 9, Len with a 9 and Bruno with a 9. Total score of 27/30. Grand total of 54/60.
Next up are Rob & Cheryl. They get into rehearsals and she says that she has won and lost during the freestyle. However, they get to know what they want to do in the dance. They come out and do a great job. Bruno says that it was brilliant and says that he picked the right time. Carrie Ann says that she was blown away. Len says that he gave it his all. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 10, Len with a 10 and Bruno with a 10. Total score of 30/30. Grand total of 57/60.
Last dance of the Freestyle round is J.R. & Karina. They get into rehearsals and Karina tries to have him do a lift that she feels that it is too dangerous. However, they want to impress with their freestyle. They come out and do a great job. Carrie Ann says that was the way to come back and says that it was amazing. Len says that it was fantastic. Bruno says that it was like a jungle tribal experience. They get their scores: Carrie Ann with a 10, Len with a 10 and Bruno with a 10. Total score of 30/30. Grand Total of 54/60. That is it for the dances now it is up to America to pick the winner!
