Season 13 Finale - Recap
It is the Season Finale and for Rob Kardashian & Cheryl, Hope Solo & Maksim, J.R. Martinez & Karina or Ricki Lake & Derek it is the last time that they are going to be able to be on the show. They kick off the night with the pros and the celebrities of the season coming out and doing a dance number. They re
Lady Antebellum performs their new single and they show that they have what it takes to warrant the fame that they have. The pros offer a dance routine in the foreground.
Ricki & Derek have to pick their favorite dance of the season to dance to again. They realize that it is the Tango that she loved it. Derek says that she looks different from when he first saw her. They come out dancing the Tango and they do an amazing job again. They go to the judges and Len says that this was one of the most memorable dances. Bruno says that it was a grand cinematic extravaganza. Carrie Ann says that she has proven that she is a fighter. They will get their scores later.
Rob & Cheryl have to pick their favorite dance of the season to dance to again and they both agree on the Foxtrot. They get learning the steps again and Rob thanks Cheryl and she says that Rob has proven that he belongs on the show. Dancing the Foxtot, they com out and do a great job with it again. They go to the judges and Bruno says that he has improved and says that even the little hiccup was alright. Carrie Ann says that it was amazing besides the slip. Len says that it doesn’t matter and says that he has the best footwork. They will get their scores later.
Last up for their favorite dance are J.R. & Karina. They get into rehearsals and they agree that it is going to have to be the Jive. They tell that they are going to have a fun time with the Jive and J.R. says that he is going to miss their time. Dancing the Jive, they come out and have a lot of fun and do a great job. They go to the judges and Carrie Ann says that there was a little rough time in the dance, but says that it was good. Len says that everyone has a bad week, but says that he has a sparkling personality. Bruno says that it was energetic and fun and he loved it.
They get their scores for the round of dancing and in 3rd place is Rob & Cheryl, 2nd place is J.R. & Karina and 1st place goes to Ricki & Derek. This leaves Ricki & Derek with 84, Rob & Cheryl with 83, and J. R. & Karina with 82. Now they need to gather together the voters’ scores. Afterward, they show a clip of the judges and the bloopers.
The first elimination of the night is underway and the couple who got third place is Ricki Lake and Derek Hough. She comes down and says that she really appreciates everyone who voted and says that she had a lot of fun. Afterward, the remaining two contestants are going to have to do an instant Samba. They show a clip of the Story of the Season.
Meta & Peta and Elizabetta & Val come out for a dance and have a lot of fun on stage.
Kristin Cavallari and Mark Ballas dance together on stage and have a lot of fun on the stage too.
Chynna Phillips & Tony come out and do their favorite dance from the season and have a good time on stage as well.
Carson Kressley & Anna come out and give the audience a good time as they dance to “Vouge” and have a fun time.
Nancy Grace & Tristan have their chance to dance and have a fun time on the stage once again.
Chaz Bono & Lacey have a fun time on stage and Lacey’s father joins them on the dance floor as well. They have a lot of fun.
David Arquette and Kym have their time on stage and do their Grease themed dance with other dancers with them. They have a fun time too.
Lady Antebellum comes out again and sing their famous single “Need You Now”. The pros offer the dance routine in the forground.
Hope Solo & Maks come out and they do their dance again and have a lot of fun on the dance floor again.
J.R. & Karina come out with their Instant Salsa. They do a good job with it. Rob & Cheryl come up right behind them and they do a great job as well. Afterward, they go to the judges and Len says that the two couples had difficult times and gives them a standing ovation. Bruno says that J.R. can turn it on at will and tells Rob that he really learned how to use his bum. Carrie Ann says that was so much fun and says that both are winners and says that they did a fantastic job. They get their scores and it is perfect 10’s all across the board. They get the final results and the winners are J.R. Martinez & Karina Smirnoff. He thanks everyone for their votes.
