Danny defeats Plasmius in a space battle, so Vlad creates a new ghost-fighting team to render Danny obsolete. Danny relinquishes his ghost powers permanently, after which Vlad displays his true colors and demands to be named the Earth's ruler in exchange for saving the planet from an asteroid. But his methods are ineffective, and Danny must find a way to regain his powers to save the world.
