Kindred Spirits - Recap

We open up with Vlad watching videos of Danny's fights. A virtual Maddie claims that they need a mid-morph sample. We then learn that Vlad gave Valerie her ghost hunting equipment to spy on Danny and get samples for a Danny clone. We are introduced to three of Vlad's failed experiments. A large muscular monster, a ghost covered with a sheet, and small ball of ectoplasm. Vlad then, dismisses the clones.

After the opening theme song, we see Sam and Tucker playing a round of mini golf. Tucker taunts Sam because she's losing. When Tucker tries to putt the ball, but the ball goes intangible and costs Tucker 5 points. We see that it was Danny playing a prank. Sam tells Danny off for being an hour late. Danny claims that he overslept. Sam comments that Danny has been treating them sidekicks rather than friends. Then Tucker lists off the times Danny has abandoned him and Sam in a fight.

1) Skulker shoots missiles at Danny. Danny goes intangible and the missiles blow up a fudge factory covering Sam and Tucker with black goo.
2) Danny, Sam, and Tucker are pushing the ghost dog (in its larger form) back into the ghost zone. The ghost dog turns back around and licks Sam and Tucker. Danny comes out clean because he is intangible.
3) The three are fighting the Lunch lady as she is in her giant meat monster form. Danny flies away and leaves Sam and Tucker to be stomped on.

Danny says he'll be a little more considered (starting tomorrow), and is attacked the clone covered with a sheet. Danny fights the clone for a little bit, and pulls the sheet off of it. The clone tackles Danny; Danny kicks the clone off of him, and shoots giant ecto-blast at the clone to end the fight. In the process, Danny destroys much of the golf course. Danny flies away leaving Tucker and Sam to take the blame for the destruction.

Danny flies home talking to Sam on a cell phone. When he gets to his room, there is a small girl lying on his bed reading a comic book. She introduces herself Danielle, Danny's third cousin once removed. She says she ran away from home, and asks Danny for some food. She then shows that she has a lot of the same interests as Danny. Danny then tries to show Danielle to his parents, but she runs off.

Danny transforms and flies outside to look for his cousin. But another clone (the large muscular one) attacks Danny. During the fight Danielle shows up and transforms into her ghost form.
Together, Danny and Danielle fight off the ghost. After the fight, Danielle fakes fainting, and Danny pushes all of his questions off until the next Day.

The next day in Caster High's cafeteria, Danny explains that he hid Danielle in the opt center, but she was gone the next day. Danielle (Phantom) then phases through the table and throws a tray of food on Sam and Tucker. Danny takes Danielle (as a human) off to the side tells Danielle that she can't use her powers in public like that. In the middle of the conversation, the small ectoplasmic ball enters the cafeteria, trashes it, and leaves. Danny and Danielle go after it. Sam and Tucker are left to be blamed for the mess.

Danny and Danielle race after the green orb. After a few seconds Danny looses sight of Danielle and Vlad appears. Danny and Vlad stand off in an ecto-blast power struggle, and Danielle rejoins the scene. She knocks Danny out with her own blast and disables Danny's ghost powers. Just before Danny falls unconscious, we learn that Danielle is Vlad's daughter.

Sam and Tucker are taking out the trash from the food fight, when they see Danny carried off by Vlad and Danielle. Sam and Tucker rush to help Danny.

The scene switches to Vlad's lab, and Danny learns that Vlad has been spying on him. We also learn that Vlad made his fortune by a series of robberies and overshadowing billionaires. Vlad explains how his failed experiments dissolve into ectoplasm.

At Fentonworks, Tucker and Sam steal the specter speeder, an anti-ghost belt, and the Boooom-arang. They use the Boooom-arang to track Danny.

In Vlad's lab, Vlad attempts another cloning experiment, but fails. Danielle then questions Vlad about the imperfections. He tells Danielle that he's trying solve the melting problem. Danny breaks free and Danielle chases after him. Danny tells Daniele that the other clones he fought all turned to goop. Danielle thinks that Vlad is trying to save her so she recaptures him and takes him back to the lab. In the lab Vlad shows that he doesn't care for Danielle when he tells her to use her powers in a way that'll cause her to melt. Danielle then releases Danny and together the two fight Vlad. Parts of the lab are destroyed and the prime clone is destabilized.

Danny uses his ghostly wail to destroy what remains of the lab. A few seconds latter Sam and Tucker crash through the wall of the lab, knocking Vlad out. Tucker uses the anti-ghost belt to disable Vlad's powers. While Danny is thanking Sam and Tucker Danielle disappears.

In Danny's living room, Jack, Maddie, and Mr. Lancer are lecturing Danny Sam and Tucker. In the middle of the conversation, Maddie and Mr. Lancer are overshadowed and convinces Jack to build a new speeder. In Danny's room Danielle reveals that she was the one who overshadowed Maddie, and Mr. Lancer. The episode ends with her flying off into the sunset.
