Jane's slacker brother and guitarist for his band, Mystik Spiral. Since Daria first met Trent in "The Invitation" she has had a crush on him, but Trent is completely oblivious to her feelings.
Besides being in Mystik Spiral, Trent is a professional slacker and sleeps through most days. Jane is constantly after him to live up to his potential, but Trent insists on waiting until he and his band are discovered.
Much to Daria's chagrin, Trent has an on-again, off-again relationship with Monique, Trent's former bandmate who now is a part of the Harpies, an all-girl, alternative group.
