Daria: Is life always taudry, stupid, and humiliating? Or is it just a phase?
Amy: Just a phase. I'm hoping to grow out of it any day now.
Daria: I am an exotic dancer -- you know, at a club. I take off my clothes and dance for strange men.
A Bridesmaid: Really?
Lerman: She's quite good.
A Bridesmaid: You've seen her!?
Paul: Who's Roger?
Quinn: He fell onto a cow.
Daria: And he was one of the lucky ones.
When you hear the audience clapping at the bridal expo, no one is actually clapping.
While Amy and Daria are at the bowling alley, a blue car in the parking lot appears and disappears during the scene.
At the wedding, Jake tells Helen he'll go and get her some wedding cake and coffee, but Helen already has wedding cake and coffee in front of her.
Jane: Oh, Scarlett, you grow lovelier by the day!
Jane is referencing a line from the 1939 movie, Gone With the Wind.
Daria: Redrum! Redrum!
This is a reference to the 1980 movie, The Shining. In the movie, a man slowly goes insane and tries to kill his wife and son. The psychically gifted boy uses "redrum" (which is murder spelled backwards) as a warning.
