Daria: The New Kid

Daria joins the yearbook and meets Ted, a fellow student whose parents have greatly sheltered his life. At yearbook, Daria decides to help Ted come out of the dark, but along the way she develops some unexpected feelings for him. However, as Ted becomes more exposed to the real world, he's accepted by the popular crowd, much to Daria's chagrin.

When this episode was re-aired on Noggin, Britney's line about wanting to give the French student an "American goodbye" was edited out, as well as the final scene when Daria goes into Quinn's room and starts beating her up.

In the beginning of the episode, the yearbook room's door has no window. However, at the end of the episode, the door has a window.

Throughout the episode, the door opens differently. In some scenes, the hinges are on the left, while in some scene, the hinges are on the right.

Ted DeWitt-Clinton

Ted's last name is a reference to De Witt Clinton who was the mayor of New York from 1803-1815 and the governor of New York from 1817-1828.
