But her fears are put to rest when Jen, the granddaughter of Dawson’s neighbor, moves to town and Dawson becomes infatuated with her. Pacey, Dawson’s pal starts to fall for the new English teacher and drags the entire group to a movie he knows she will be attending. It is during the movie that Joey gets bitchy with Jen, noticing that Jen is moving in on Dawson; but there relationship is patched up at the end when Dawson and Joey share some intimate information…

Dawson’s film class is put in charge of helping Cliff get his movie off the ground, which causes tensions for him as well, and Jen. During the filming of the final scene of Dawson’s movie instead of capturing his first kiss on camera like he planned, he catches Pacey losing his virginity.

Meanwhile, Jen’s old boyfriend from New York shows up in town, causing tensions between her and Dawson – especially when the guy decides to crash on Dawson’s Floor.

Later, Andie throws wedding crashers Jen and Abby out and they steal a bottle of liquor on their way out. The two procede to get drunk when the unthinkable happens.

Pacey worries the Andie could have a breakdown especially after Jen blames Andie for kicking them out of the wedding. Gail tells Dawson that she got a job offer in Philadelphia. Abby's death brings up feelings for Joey about her own mother's death. Jen gives a eulogy at Abby's funeral blasting everyone and God. Grams throws Jen out over her actions. Andie returns to Abby's house to take Abby's journal before her mother can see the cruel things Abby wrote in it and Andie sees Abby's image in the mirror.

Gail thinks she has received her sign about taking the job in Philadelphia but sees Mitch with Nicole again at the end of the night. Andie's mental health deteriorates as she begins seeing and talking to her dead brother, Tim. Andie locks herself in the bathroom and Pacey has to took her out before she hurts herself.
