Season 1
1 :01x01 - Greenhorns (Apr/12/2005)
Fifteen hundred fishermen converge on Dutch Harbor, Alaska, for the beginning of the Alaskan King Crab season. They have the potential to earn a year's wages in one week.
 
2 :01x02 - Long Sleepless Nights (Apr/19/2005)
The fishermen spend the night baiting and setting the crab pots, and those pulling up empty traps scramble for a strategy to make up for a lost catch.
 
3 :01x03 - Lady Luck (Apr/26/2005)
Forty-two hours into the season, the Alaskan Department of Fish and Game announces an early closure, and each boat has 24 hours to pull up their pots.
 
4 :01x04 - Beat the Clock (May/03/2005)
Less than 12 hours remain in the crab season and the crews rush to fill their holds, but heavy seas and mechanical problems slow them. The boats unload at the processing plant on a first-come, first-serve basis.
 
5 :01x05 - Dead of Winter (May/10/2005)
The Opilio crab season is about to begin at Dutch Harbor, Alaska, and 171 boats prep for the voyage.

The fishing is halted when all boats must take part in a search and rescue.
 
6 :01x06 - Man Overboard (May/17/2005)
One of the ships sinks in the Bering Sea and the crew is missing; other boats head out to search for them.
 
7 :01x07 - High Hopes (May/24/2005)
Six lives have been lost 12 hours into the season.
 
8 :01x08 - Good Fishing (May/31/2005)
The third day of fishing gets under way, and unseasonably warm weather and calm seas contribute to record catches for the fleet. However, an electrical fire breaks out in the engine room of one ship.
 
9 :01x09 - The Clock is Ticking (Jun/07/2005)
Rumors of a possible closure prompt the men to work even harder; one of the captains abandons the Northern fishing grounds.
 
10 :01x10 - The Final Run (Jun/14/2005)
The final 24 hours finds many of the boats loaded to the brim with crabs, with one ship attempting to rig extra storage space on deck, as all the crews begin the race back to port and competition for the best spot in line at the processor.
 

Season 2
11 :02x01 - Heading Out to Sea (Mar/28/2006)
The second season begins by examining new rules and regulations that attempt to set safer standards for the crab-fishing industry, but the potential for injury and disaster remains high on the stormy, frigid Bering Sea, as captains now have months instead of days to make their quota.
 
12 :02x02 - Batten Down the Hatches (Apr/04/2006)
The crab-fishing fleet enjoys rare calm weather on the Bering Sea in October, but the forecast calls for a storm and the decision to stay or run must be made.
 
13 :02x03 - On the Crab (Apr/11/2006)
Despite a raging storm, the crab-fishing fleet persists is going after Alaskan king crab.
 
14 :02x04 - The Finish Line (Apr/18/2006)
Capt. Sig Hansen and the crew of the Northwestern make a profit on Akutan Island with their last catch, and proceed back out for more Alaskan king crab.
 
15 :02x05 - Friends and Rivals (Apr/25/2006)
A storm creates a rogue wave that takes the ship and crew by surprise, stalling the engines and knocking out the navigation equipment.
 
16 :02x06 - A New Hunt Begins (May/02/2006)
In Dutch Harbor, Alaska, crews prep their boats for Opilio crab-fishing season.
 
17 :02x07 - Smoke on the Water (May/09/2006)
An arctic storm roils the seas in the crab grounds, and fishing becomes perilous for the Rollo and the Maverick. Meanwhile, the Cornelia Marie sits in port for a third day.
 
18 :02x08 - Man vs. Ice (May/16/2006)
Long hours and short catches make the crews of the Maverick and Rollo short-tempered; the Time Bandit heads north into the storm; the Northwestern goes off course.
 
19 :02x09 - On the Edge (May/23/2006)
The Rollo perseveres through bad weather; the crew of the Maverick suffer a ship-wide flu epidemic; the Cornelia Marie can't find any crab.
 
20 :02x10 - Pribilof Stare (May/30/2006)
Freezing weather and ice take out a deckhand on the Cornelia Marie; the Time Bandit negotiates the ice pack; a broken brace on the Maverick is jury-rigged by the crew.
 
21 :02x11 - Race Against the Ice (Jun/06/2006)
The Rollo and the Maverick head back to the crab grounds after off-loading lots of product on St. Paul Island, but the Rollo's captain is angry with his crew due to a miscalculation.

Welcome back to Dutch Harbor in Alaska, where we will board the Northwestern, the Cornelia Marie and the Time Bandit for the 2006 Red King Crap season.
 
24 :03x02 - The Unforgiving Sea (Apr/10/2007)
The season starts off on a deadly note, as boats must endure another search and rescue. Sickness strikes a greenhorn.
 
25 :03x03 - Pain and Paybacks (Apr/17/2007)
After a deadly start, the Bering Sea is still claiming victims as injuries and jailtime looms on the horizon.
 
26 :03x04 - Cheating Death (Apr/24/2007)
Halfway through the season the grind is on.
As the workload takes it toll, the crews must deal with tiredness, injuries and damaged equipment making the fishing even more dangerous.
 
27 :03x05 - Bering Sea Salvation (May/01/2007)
The end of the king crab season is drawing near and Captain Johnathan and crew start dropping gear.
The Time Bandit is back, and Captain Sig hauls in huge pots of keepers. The Wizard's crew struggles to bring the last haul.
 
28 :03x06 - The Last Lap (May/08/2007)
When the 2006 RKC season ends, Sig and his crew on the Northwestern finally finish a 30 hour shift and can finally head home.
Phil on the Cornelia turn his boat home without injury.
 
29 :03x07 - New Beginnings (May/15/2007)
Opilio crab season opens, and the greenhorns feels the brutal Bering Sea and bone-chilling weather.
 
30 :03x08 - Caught in the Storm (May/22/2007)
As a major and deadly storm wreaks havoc on the fleet, Captain on Time Bandit, Andy, calls his crew off deck. Which proves to be a lifesaver.
 
31 :03x09 - Crossing the Line (May/29/2007)
The Northwestern has a string of bad luck that puts the crew a week behind schedule; Captain Sig drops all of his gear far north of the rest of the fleet and crosses his fingers.
 
32 :03x10 - Trials of the Greenhorns (Jun/05/2007)
The Bering Sea can be a beautiful and majestic place, but when the weather gets bad, it makes crab fishing one of the most difficult jobs on the planet. Several greenhorns must find out the hard way whether or not they’re capable of doing the job as a career, though some fare better than others.

The crews weigh the risks of the dangerous waters against the possibility of a rich haul.

35 :04x01 - Get 'Em Back Safe! (Apr/15/2008)
As the crab fishing fleet heads off to take on the ferocious Bering Sea looking for king crab, Northwestern must first must make repairs to it's boat. Wizard will be training two greenhorns while Time Bandit brings aboard Jonathan's son Scott.


 
38 :04x02 - Striking Out (Apr/15/2008)
The season starts off to a bad start, and the Time Bandit pulls a prank to lighten the mood. Wizard greenhorns start falling apart after only 48 hours.
 
39 :04x03 - A Numbers Game (Apr/22/2008)
The Northwestern's Edgar must make a dangerous repair after a mechanical breakdown. Meanwhile, Sig loses his temper due to a mistake in counting of the load. Hard work seems to have separated the men from the greenhorns aboard the Wizard. The crew is impacted on the Cornelia Marie due to the failing health of Phil.
 
40 :04x04 - Unsafe and Unsound (Apr/29/2008)
Cracks begin to effect the greenhorns, skippers and family fishing dynasties. A "last man standing contest is played out on the Northwestern between Sig and Edgar in which the see which man can go the longest without sleep. Captain Jonathan of the Time Bandits has a close encounter with death.
 
41 :04x05 - No Mercy (May/06/2008)
The crews are losing their tempers onboard the Wizard and Northwestern. A dangerous electrical short has occurred on the Time Bandit. Phil's health worsens while onboard the Cornelia Marie. A greenhorns mistake has the Early Dawn headed for the high seas.
 
42 :04x06 - Racing The Clock (May/13/2008)
The Time Bandit's had some good fishing so far this season but has fallen into a string of bad luck for the boat and crew. The North American ship has made it's return to action.
 
43 :04x07 - Seeking the Catch (May/20/2008)
The dwindling days of King Crab season approaches as a large amount of stinging jellyfish in empty pots is making the job impossible. Also, the crew of the Cornelia Marie may lose their captain permanently. The onboard mistakes of the crew of the Northwestern may be costly.
 
44 :04x08 - No Season for Old Men (May/27/2008)
The Northwestern is slowed by a deck accident. A power outage hits at a inopportune time for the Cornelia Marie. The North American tries a "Hail Mary" play, as the Wizard and Time Bandit make a bid for the coveted "String of the Week" prize.
 
45 :04x09 - Storm Season (Jun/03/2008)
As Opilio season starts, a pair of storms causes trouble for a patched up Cornelia Marie and the Time Bandit almost loses two of its crew. The U.S. Coast Guard come for a medical emergency, and a freezing spray makes for a risky situation to all.
 
46 :04x10 - Blow Up (Jun/10/2008)
It's a battle against nature for the Coast Guard during what seemed to be a routine rescue. The Cornelia Marie needs repairs and heads for land. Mistakes are piling up for the Northwestern due to fatigue of the crew. Greenhorn Moi locks horns with Captain Keith aboard the Wizard. The Time Bandit searches for better grounds.
 
47 :04x11 - Big Weather, Big Trouble (Jun/17/2008)
Captain Johnathan has an accident on deck of the Time Bandit when he joins his crew to show off his skills. Captain Sig is angered by his crew aboard the Northwestern. The Wizard and Captain Lenny narrowly miss a huge wave. A greenhorn aboard the North American is hazed.
 
48 :04x12 - Mortal Men (Jun/24/2008)
The decks of the Early Dawn, North American and Northwestern all receive damage to their decks when a massive storm tears through. Capt. Phil begins coughing up blood after injuring his ribs aboard the Cornelia Marie, but refuses medical attention until his crew demands it by stopping work.
 
49 :04x13 - Fresh Blood (Jul/01/2008)
Murray struggles as he takes over control of the Cornelia Marie when Capt. Phil heads for the hospital. The Northwestern becomes destabilized after the crane is strained to its breaking point. Also, the Wizard springs a dangerous leak, and Greenhorn Moi gets fired.
 
50 :04x14 - Changing Tides (Jul/08/2008)
The Northwestern is facing a challenge from the ice pack. On board the Wizard is a greenhorn and flaring tempers as they set sail. The crew of the Cornelia Marie struggle to continue on without their injured captain. Also, the Time Bandit nearly makes a fatal mistake and is faced with a tough choice.
 
51 :04x15 - Catch as Catch Can (Jul/15/2008)
As the fleets make their final push they descend upon an Arctic ice pack. Captain Sig of the Northwestern and Captain Keith of the Wizard battle a freezing spray. The crew of the Cornelia Marie suffers from "Bering Sea dementia," and the crew of the Time Bandit is at its breaking point.
 
52 :04x16 - The Final Hour (Jul/22/2008)
Ice battles and equipment issues hinder the captains race to haul in their remaining quotas. Scottie from the Time Bandit makes a near fatal mistake while working the hydraulic system. As the men head for their home ports, an ominous message comes across the radio.

58 :05x05 - Long Haul, Short Fuses (May/12/2009)
Crab pots continue to come up empty and the skippers are out of ideas. Low bait and long grinds take our crews to dark places -- the smallest infractions from a Greenhorn or fellow deckhand cause tempers and even violence to flare. Aboard the Cornelia Marie the brothers Harris have a war of words, while on the Lisa Marie two brothers resort to a smack down. On the Wizard, low bait forces Keith to turn his back on his brother and reach out to an old enemy: Sig Hansen. While the rest of the fleet fight it out amongst themselves, it¹s a wild, swinging pot that could do fatal damage on the Time Bandit.

59 :05x06 - Deadline (May/19/2009)
A new deadline is set: an upcoming drop in the price of king crab has the skippers rushing to finish their season. But crew battles and a fierce arctic storm block the way. The Wizard and the Time Bandit survive savage weather to haul in gold, while on the Cornelia Marie, relief skipper Murray proves that not everyone is cut out to find the crab. On the Northwestern, greenhorn Jake rages at his mentor, Edgar, and on the tiny Lisa Marie, poor crab and bullying drive a deckhand to the brink.

60 :05x07 - Down to the Wire (May/26/2009)
The king crab season is down to the wire and skippers are desperate to top off their quotas. It's looking bleak as crews pick through bone-yards of fished out grounds. Some boats dig deep for an end of season sprint, while other boats only scrape by. On the Northwestern, skipper Sig is forced to radio fish in the 11th hour. On the Cornelia Marie, skipper Murray tries to maintain control as simmering crew frustrations boil over. The Time Bandit has already ended their season, but they're contenders to claim the captains' wager. In the end, some men will glory in big pay offs -- while others will be glad just to have survived.

The 2008 King crab season is over with and It's the start of the 2009 Opilio Crab Season. Anything the Bering Sea held back during King Season is now being paid out in spades. The skippers have their eyes on the oncoming ice pack -- but it's a lethal, 40-foot rogue wave that's on the hunt.

The fleet arrives on the Opi Grounds and boats struggle with ice, big seas, and bad information to hunt down the crab. A skipper regrets sending his men out in savage weather to save the boat -- but there are no second chances on the Bering Sea. On the Time Bandit, old family grounds are barren and Skipper Andy risks moving his pots North, next to the ice. On the NorthwesternSkipper Sig hits big crab and big seas. On the Cornelia Marie the major battles are between crew members. And on the Incentive, a new boat to the show, anger and frustration also reigns. It's a brutal start to a brutal Opilio Season.

After weeks battling the brutal freezing spray, forty foot waves, and sub-zero temperatures, skippers have begun plugging their boats with Opilio crab. As they race to St. Paul harbor for offload, they face the 250,000 square mile arctic ice pack stands in their way and their paid day.Long hours and inhuman conditions already have the crabbers turning on each other. One skipper needs to deliver his crab but boat-crushing ice stands between his vessel and the safety of harbor. On the Northwestern, the bitter temperatures have the Jr. Deckhand showing signs of strain. While on the Wizard, Skipper Keith is still reeling from the after-affects of a monster wave that banged up his crew. On the Time Bandit the crab is crawling on board, but one old Deckhand wants to crawl off. A sea of misery surrounds the fleet -- and the season isn't even half over.

65 :05x12 - A Slap in the Face or Kick in the Butt (Jun/30/2009)
Late into the season, each skipper faces his own personal brand of hell. Frozen crab, frozen gear, and a frozen harbor chill the hearts of even the most callous fishermen. On the Cornelia Marie, Skipper Phil gambles on the theory that air bubbles on the water means crabs are farting down below. On the Time Bandit, Captain Andy enters St. Paul harbor-now frozen enough to walk across. Five pack-a-day smoker Sig Hansen tries his hand at quitting the habit. When a huge storm kicks up he takes his stress out on his crew. Aboard the Wizard, Captain Keith demands an answer from his greenhorn: "Are you in or out?" It's a season where very crab has been paid for in headaches-but the rising seas and oncoming ice-pack could make things worse.

66 :05x13 - Ends of the Earth (Jul/07/2009)
When the fleet gets word of great fishing by the ice pack, the chase is on to the ends of the earth! Two egos collide, when Keith and Phil fight over fishing turf. Sick of hauling mangled, barnacle-ridden crab down south, Captain Harry on the Incentive faces his fears and climbs north to frozen waters. While aboard the Northwestern, Sig pushes his crew and himself to the edge of insanity with a sleepless, 38 hour grind. Hellacious hours and missing pots-a journey to the far north will push these men over the edge.

It's the final 24 hours of the 2009 Opilio crab season. A savage arctic storm causes multiple vessels to send out maydays. The Coast Guard is in a race against the clock to save four men before their boat is pounded into splinters against jagged rocks.
