Deadwood is the story of the early days of Deadwood, South Dakota. The series is woven around actual historic events and most of the main characters are based on real people. Deadwood starts as a gold mining camp and gradually turns from a lawless wild-west community into an organized wild-west civilized town. The story focuses on the real-life characters Seth Bullock and Al Swearengen.

This WAS one of the finest shows on TV. Gritty, realistic well acted and directed and written. I hope HBO brings back the 2 - 2 hours endings. With the loss of this show and the Soprano\'s, HBO isn\'t worth subscribing to anymore. Read more
