	Seth Bullock, played by Timothy Olyphant He was a Marshall in Montana who moved to Deadwood to set up a hardware business with his partner Sol. Star. Initially reluctant to get involved, the lawlessness gets the best of him and by the end of season one he has taken over as Deadwood's sherriff. Season two finds his personal life made more interesting with the arrival of his wife and son. The Seth Bullock character is based on the real life wild-west lawman Seth Bullock, who owned a hardware business and was also in the Montana Territorial Senate before moving to Deadwood.
