Rev. Smith [S01], played by Ray McKinnon
Reverend Smith meets Seth Bullock and Sol Star shortly after their arrival and becomes their friend. While the hardware store is located in a tent, Rev. Smith sleeps there at night while Seth and Sol go to the saloons. Later, he conducts a few funerals, including that of Bill Hickok. He helps Doc Cochran during the epidemic, but a brain tumor or some such thing causes him to deteriorate. Prior to his death he is rather out of his mind.
Death and disposal: Rev. Smith is euthanized by Al Swearengen. He is most likely buried in the Deadwood graveyard.
