HBO is closing in on a deal with David Milch (creator-exec producer) for a fourth season of Deadwood, months before season 3 will premiere.
The production on the 12 episodes of season 3 is still underway, which is slated for the screen in June 2006. The season premiere had originally been plan to March 2006, but got pushed back because of the sixth season premiere of The Sopranos.
