| Dark, edgy ... a stunning achievement for HBO.

I haven't been a fan of westerns for years, but Deadwood caught my attention from the get go. I absolutely love this show! It is most definitely one of my favourite dramas of all time.
This has to be the (closest) most accurate portrayal of what life was really like in the mining camps of that era, that I have EVER seen come out of Hollywood. This is not your typical glossy western ... the lawlessness, the language, and the raw depravity hits you smack in the face if you're not prepared.
The acting is magnificent, particularly that of Ian McShane, Robin Weigart, and Brad Dourif. The story lines are strong, and interesting.
Even if you're not a western fan, I'm positive that you will enjoy Deadwood.
HOOZAA!!
