Deal Or No Deal
is the UK Game Show hosted by Noel Edmonds in which a contestant is pitted against a banker and has the possibility of winning £250,000.
To win you must use all your courage and wits to knock off boxes out of 22, each with a different sum of money inside, from 1p to £250,000. Every time a box is picked it gets knocked off, hoping that you do not hit the really big sums. Whatever is in the player's box in the end the player goes home with.
You don't just have to knock off boxes to get your prize. You can also trade whatever's in your box for a deal from the banker depending on what sums you have knocked off out of the 22. Problem is, no-one knows what is inside and only the independent adjudicator knows where all the sums of money are. You must try your hardest to beat the banker and win as much money as you can. You can also receive help from Noel Edmonds himself or any of the other players, if you are in a tough position.
So far one man called Germaine has been so close to winning the £250,000 when he dealed at £75,000 and found the biggest ever in his box right in front of him when he could have declined the deal and won the quarter of a million. Maybe someday a player will find themselves going home with that life-changing sum of money. Also Kirsty was left with £75,000 and £250,000. She said no deal to the offer and the banker rang up saying "She can swap the box. She declined and in her box was £75,000.
Vanessa, a pretty fashion model won a mighty £20,000 for going all the way to the end. She believed that she would never accept an offer unless she was really tempted, and she wasn't, and her reward was 20 grand!
This poker-playing player was the founder of the 1p club and now it has 8 members. It was either the penny or 250 quid, and sadly, it was the penny. Even though he just won the lowest, he has been remembered throughout all the other games!
Short Matthew was a kind fireman who's goal was 6,000 quid at least. he ended up with 35 for going all the way. Noel believes that this game was one of the greatest victories for ages!
Another fine fireman, Aaron accepted £25,000 and found only 50p in his box. Noel's favourite game, it encouraged the person in the next game to try their hardest.
Lucy Harrington stayed for a towering 50 games, and when finally picked, could not believe it-Noel made up a goal for her, £50,000 for 50 shows, but it turned out that she just got £5, 10 pennies for every show.
He may be overweight, but JT was jolly. His favourite song, "The Hokey Cokey" was sung throughout because of his luck. His splendid £39,000 win beat the banker, and in the end, everyone danced the Hokey Cokey!
The lovely Sajeela Safraz from India got £50,000 for playing a hugely courageous, and loud game. It was 15 or 50 grand, and when it was 50, everyone cheered-Saj was certainly a beautiful player.
Another hot fireman Garry Hall took out the biggest prize on his first box, but incredibly, revealed £100,000 in his Box, No. 13, which was believed to be unlucky. One fo teh biggest winners, Gaz's game was always remembered.
This player could have had £99,000, but dealt at 33 before. Still, he beat the banker by a lot and had everyone in a very good mood for such a big win. One of Noel's favourite games.
Morris was a poetic player who could make a poem for every moment. He was very close to winning 250 grand, but instead got 20 for not accepting a monstrous £101,000 as he believed. The most tension-building game, the banker actually felt sorry for big Morris in the end.
True to his name, Richie got Rich when winning 20,000 with £100 in his box. Rich said that he only wanted £5,000 so he got 4 times what he wanted! Also, he holds the record for the craziest offer ever-£5,146!
John "Buzz" Buzzy played a painful game until the end. He was offered £9,800, and reluctantly took it. Joy of joys, he beat the banker! Also, Buzz is the first player to not get an offer above £10,000.
Suzzanne's first offer wasn't financal. It was a swap! She swapped her box with Lee's and her original box only contained £500! When she dealt at a huge £47,000, she didn't realise it would go up even further to £59,000! The nice girl only had 3 grand in her box, and not £75,000.
This laughing black lady had a weird combination in her lifetyle-She was a dentist who played poker! When offered £31,000, it was taken and she finally dealt. After, she simply wiped out all the big numbers and it worked better than any other deal taken!
