Archibald "Snake" Simpson, played by Stefan Brogren
Archie Simpson, known as Snake to his friends, was a former student at Degrassi High School, and was classmates with Joey, and a grade above Spike and Caitlin. He was once a awkward and gangly, yet brainy teenager, who was self-conscious with his height. Snake was a member of the band The Zits (formerly The Zit Remedy) with Joey, and former friend Wheels. He has a gay brother named Glen. Snake later got a job at the newly formed Degrassi Community School as a Media Immersion teacher. His doctor spotted the early stages of leukemia, and luckily, he successfully went through chemotherapy. Snake started dating his old friend Spike, and they got married to each other. He became the step-father to Emma, and later had a child with Spike named Jack. Lately, he went through a mid-life crisis, and cheated on Spike with his co-worker (and boss) Daphne Hatzilakos. He was kicked out of the house for a while, and lived at Joey's. He got back together with Spike, whom he patched things up with. After a student falsely accused Snake of molesting her, Snake is suspended from teaching. Snake is later cleared, but his reputation is ruined, as students make fun of him, and some parents pull their kids out of his class. Even Spike moved out with Jack to live with her mother for a while, but Emma supported him. The following school year, Snake was able to teach the gifted program at Degrassi, while his autistic godson, Connor, stayed with him and Spike, after Emma graduated and went off to college. |
