LOL who is this Shep and how did he get to be the principal?

Anyway, I kind of forgot what else happened in this episode. It'll come back to me eventually, I'm sure.

"The Shep" (or Principal Shepherd) was the Principal at Lakehurst, before it burned down. Since Daphne left, he was probably offered the job, and he took it. Since he appears to be the football coach, I' m sure he was "at" the school the previous year, maybe as a gym teacher or the assistant or vice principal.

I think it was kind of ridiculous that Mia was offered a modeling contract after doing that outrageously weird skit on the runway with Danny (which, btw, how do you whisper all that?). Anyways, nitpicks aside, the modeling/sleeping to the top/instant popularity/no longer a full-time mom storyline was pretty okay. I think it was an interesting plot twist that Mia got the job without sleeping with the British football player, yet she went through all that..eh.. I hope they give Mia a heroine addiction as a nice addition to the modeling.

The B-Plots:
I liked the college story. Emma is a bit controlling, and I'm glad Manny and Liberty called her out on it. They're right where she needs to let go and meet new people, instead of clinging to her old friends. It's great that she wants to hold on to that, but she needs to meet new people and experience the college lifestyle, too. I don't know of too many colleges that lefts freshman have quad-dorms, let alone a co-ed one. Maybe your later years, but eh. Must be a Canadian thing. Poor Toby. He probably is at Toronto University.

I liked the Clare storyline too. I think Clare is an interesting character. Her everyday uniform is a nice contrast with Alli, who alters her appearance each day to rebel against her parents. It reminds me of the Stephanie Kaye storyline in season 1 of Degrassi Junior High. Except Alli seems 10 times less slutty. Connor seems like a cookie-cutter, Liberty-Toby hybrid at first glance, but I expect good things from his character. Can't wait. The KC guy (no periods, really?) seems..interesting. He doesn't seem really skatery. Oh well. Uh..who else is there? Well, glad Chante has been upped to full time character. The Anti-Grapevine blog? What, is she a Perez-Kelly hybrid now? Danny has gotten a completely different edit. His character has been changed completely. I think that was hinted at last season, because he seemed less immature than Derek. Derek is still a jerk. (see the hooking Clare scene)

The credits: I wish they went with the plain white t version, but it works I guess. It is a lot like the old one. I will update the main cast now that I now who is an official cast member. (like Natty Zivitz, the dog man from last season, is now a main character?)

Ugh, the credits. Such a disaster. And so many new people. This is probably why I can't seem to comment on anything, I can't keep up with all these new cast members.

Ah yeah, the introduction to the football team... ha. Danny doesn't seem the footballing type. Plus, I would think Mia would be less of a sleep-your-way-to-the-top type what with the whole having a daughter thing.

I liked Samantha Munro better with the lighter hair.

It was how Mia got the whole having a daughter thing in the first place, because she slept around. Or so rumour has it.

Samantha always had brown hair..did she really change it?

Tsk tsk, Mia. Way to be responsible.

I could've sworn her hair used to be lighter...

OMG YES. I wonder what type of schizophrenia. Probably disorganized. Catatonic would tend to get boring. Though it would be interesting to see how far viewership went down if they showed some random guy in this bizarre pose each time he was in the shot. I would definitely settle for paranoid schizophrenia, though.

Um, so I saw a commercial for Degrassi the other day, and that was the first time I realized the title is pronounced de-grass-ee. I had been pronouncing it de-grah-see. The more you know...
