• Degrassi star wins Gemini award |
One of Degrassi's newest full-time cast members took home an award last night at the Geminis in Toronto.
Shenae Grimes won "best performance in a children's series" for her role in Degrassi: The Next Generation.
Grimes was nominated for her work in "Eyes Without a Face, Pt. 2" from season six.
The Toronto native plays Darcy Edwards, who joined the show full-time last year after guest-starring on the series.
