Jon is a member of the Witness Protection Program, joined by his wife and son. When asked about being the subject of a reality show, Jon reluctantly agrees. Now he and his family live in New York, where they wear ski masks and use voice disguise processors to hide their identities.

Susan is Jon's wife. Her feelings about being on a reality show are less than favorable, and she's become extremely unhappy with Jon. Susan is afraid of her family becoming at risk or being murdered.

David is the 13-year old son of Jon and Susan. Much like his mother, he is unhappy about moving to New York and being the subject of a reality show. Despite the circumstances, David is learning to adjust to his surroundings.

Mike is a federal agent and has been assigned to protect Jon and his family. As a result of being constantly present in Jon's life, he is often called upon to give personal advice. At the end of the day, Mike is a friend to Jon.

Yvgeny is a member of the Mirminskys, a Russian crime family that wants Jon dead. Yvgeny has been sent to New York to kill Jon. He's also an aspiring stand-up comedian and performs in clubs when not trying to murder Jon.
