The Gauntlet - Recap

At Zavatti Louis asks Erica where all their customers are. She takes him to George, who shows him Bella’s menu, with the same menu at half the price. George tells Louis, “It’s David versus Goliath, and God is not on our side”.

Andrea packs up all of her things, and tells Jessica that she plans on moving away. Andrea tells her that she has lost everything that has meant everything to her, and unlike her trip to Italy, this one id for good. Andrea tells Jessica that she loves Alex, but Louis will never give up, and she doesn’t want to be caught between the brothers. Jessica tells her not to throw away what she has with Alex, if she does, she will never forgive her.

Marco and Cara wait for Suzy. When Suzy comes in she tells them that to get to Louis they need to go after the people he cares about, specifically Andrea. Suzy agrees to try and get back into Louis’s bed for 50k, and report back to Cara and Marco.

After Suzy leaves, Marco and Cara fight about her decision. Cara tells Marco to win Cully back, and then none of this is necessary.

Louis, Cully, and George discuss options on destroying Bella. Louis tells Cully that he doesn’t want to make Alex look bad, he wants everyone to know exactly how good he is, and prove he is better.

Christoph angrily looks at the Bella menu. Louis approaches and asks Christoph “if it came down to it, can you out cook Alex”, Christoph responds, “I don’t think it, I know it”. Louis goes over to Bella, and asks Alex to participate in a winner take all battle between Zavatti and Bella, the loser closing their doors forever.

Cully and Erica have drinks. Marco arrives, and a frightened Cully sends Erica out of Tonica. Marco tells Cully that Cara is willing to let him back in the family. Cully refuses, as he leaves Marco yells “When you’re tired of shining Louis’s shoes you know where to find me”.

Jessica tells Alex that Andrea loves him, and is packing up to leave. Alex rushes out of Bella in an attempt to find Andrea.

Rita approaches Louis at the pool and tells him that everything he has told her about her life has been a lie. Rita leaves, and when she does one of Louis’s men tell him that a woman is there and wants to ask for his forgiveness. Thinking the woman is Andrea Louis lets the woman in, only to find out it is Suzy, dressed in a bikini. Suzy tells Louis what she knows about Cara and Marco and offers to act as a double agent for Louis.

Alex finds Andrea. He tells her how he feels about her, and tells her if she doesn’t feel the same, and can tell him, then he’ll let her go. Andrea kisses him, and the two make out on the beach. Andrea tells Alex to promise to never let her go.
