New Leaves, New Lives - Recap

Hawkins holds a gun to Alex in his jail cell. Alex pleads him to not kill him and tells him he isn’t going to get away with this, Hawkins responds “Not only am I going to get away with it, I’m going to get rich too!” Detective Lin comes up behind Hawkins and tells him to drop the gun. When he turns the gun on Lin, Alex lunges toward him and tries to get the gun away from him. A gunshot goes off, and Hawkins falls to the ground. The officer who Hawkins assaulted comes to and Lin tells him cuff Hawkins.

Suzy meets with George and Victoria in the spa. She tells them that Louis has the money in the wall, and that he has gotten in a full on war with the mob. The three discuss a plan on getting the money from Louis and Victoria makes the statement “ We need to make Louis disappear forever!”

Lin calls the FBI, and tells them about the situation with Alex, and how Hawkins is involved. The FBI interviews Hawkins and he refuses to give up the Gamarra’s.

Outside the police station Asher notices all of the press. He poses as a journalist and asks a reporter what happened. She tells him “A cop tried to kill a murder suspect”, as she continues to talk, Rita and Andrea arrive at the station and the press swarms their vehicle asking for a comment

Cully meets Erica at Tonica and tells her he wants to leave this life, and run away with her and her baby.

The FBI interviews Rita. One of the FBI agents become angered by Rita lack of memory and tells Lin there is no case. The other FBI agent seems to think there is still a case, and tells him she wants a run at George and Victoria.

The Gamarra family arrives in LA. Marco and Cara tell them the plan, and tell them they want it done “As painfully as possible!”

Cully comes to Louis and tells him that “I think we’ve come to end of this thing, and it’s time for me to walk away.” Cully tells him Erica is pregnant with his child, and he wants the opportunity to start a new life with her. Louis tells him to take his half of the money, and Cully tells him he doesn’t want it, or the restaurant, but he is going to keep the jaguar. Cully suggest Louis get out as well, and Louis tells him he’s not going to do it, but he wishes Cully the best in his life. He thanks him for sticking by him and tells him, “I’m really going to miss you” the two embrace, and Cully leaves.

Later Andrea waits for Lin outside of the police station. Lin tells her she can’t speak to a non family member about an on going investigation, but when Andrea presses she tells her that Alex is still being considered, but the feds are going to look at George and Victoria.

Suzy shows up to see Louis. The two start to make out, and Louis tells her he isn’t in the mood right now. He quickly changes his mind , and things start to heated between the two on the couch as Suzy looks at the bookcase smiling.

Outside the police station Peter and Andrea talk about the investigation. Andrea suggests that they go try and talk to Louis and Cully and get them to testify to save Alex.

After they have sex, Suzy goes downstairs at Louis’s and tries to move the bookshelf to get to the money. When he finds that she can’t move it she puts a leaf on top of it, so she can tell if Louis moves the bookcase.

Erica shows up at the house and Louis confronts her, saying “You finally came up with a way to steal my partner away from me.” He tells her that the thought of Cully playing dad makes him happy, and tells her Cully is upstairs, but they should leave soon, it’s not safe here.

Erica comes upstairs and kisses Cully. The two prepare to leave, and as the drive out the front gate the find Andrea standing outside in front of their car.
