School of Hard Knocks - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
Gaby is waiting in line, in her car, to drop her daughter, Jeanette, off at school. The line is long and Jeanette is impatient to get there on time. She begs Gaby to let her out, just this once. Gaby consents, but when the drop-off aide, Dana, sees this, Gaby gets a sound scolding from her in front of all the other mothers waiting in line. An angry Gaby plans to take revenge on the better-than-thou Dana.

Lynette is busy scheduling her separation from estranged husband Tom just so, appointments for the kids, therapy sessions with her and Tom, etc. She has made a point of buying up all the
therapy books she can find in town, shows them to friend Gaby. Gaby says she thinks that Tom has a new woman in his life because he is making big improvements in his physical appearance.
Lynette is skeptical, but says she will look into things when Gaby urges her to begin paying more attention to her own appearance.

Bree steps outside to check her mail box, sees daughter Danielle with her son Benjamin pull up in her car. Danielle tells mother Bree that her husband has left her. Will Bree help her daughter put
her life back together? Of course she will. Bree jumps in with lots of advice, some of it not so welcome, but Danielle bites her tongue.

Susan asks Mike if he still loves her? He allows that he does, with a sigh of relief. He says he thought that Susan had been having an affair to which Susan says no, of course not. She explains that she is
taking an art class taught by Andre Zeller, that she is working on her portfolio to show the instructor in hopes that he will allow her to be a student.

Gaby is talking to some of the other mothers who have been relegated to the distant B parking lot by the know-it-all Dana. She demands that they band together, plan to bring Dana down, that the woman has had too much power over them for far too long. They gradually agree with her, even though some of them seem a bit daunted by the all powerful Dana.

At Andre's classroom, Susan tells him that she is a real fan of his work. The cynical Andre brushes her of as he looks over her portfolio, pronounces her unfit for his class, which angers Susan.
He says she leads a shallow self serving life, wouldnt know what to do with herself in his class. Upset, Susan tells him she will bring better examples of her art work to him tomorrow.

Bree is talking to Danielle about her future, what does she want to do? She has a son to support, you know. Danielle says she has a business plan in place to sew and sell exercise equipment. What she
does not tell Bree is that it is actually sex equipment. Danielle asks to borrow money from her mother, who agrees to lend her the money. She will be able to work in Bree's test kitchen.

Lynette makes an appointment for her and Tom to talk to a therapist about their failing marriage. While telling Tom this, he gets a phone call from his girlfriend, makes an excuse to Lynette,
hurries off to chat in private. Now, Lynette is suspicious.

At the PTA meeting that night, Gaby attends. She takes the podium, talking to the mothers about freedom, pulling Dana down off her pedestal, urging the women present to join her. Dana bribes
two of the mothers with parking placards to which they fall.

One of Lynette's daughters is visiting Tom at his new apartment. Lynette calls her on her tablet, asks her to give her a tour of the place by showing her tablet about the room, which she does. Lynette
sees Tom and a shapely female neighbor chatting out on the veranda, which upsets her. She says a quick goodbye to her daughter and signs off, wondering what is really going on.

Susan brings another painting, more brooding this time, for Andre's perusal. He says its shallow just like herself, that it does not impress him. She gets really angry, smears a nearby canvas
with some paint, shreds it and stomps out.

Gaby walks in on Bree trying on Danielle's sex swing, says she didnt realize that Bree was into that sort of thing. What thing, Bree wants to know? It's a sex swing. A shocked Bree struggles to climb out, doesnt make it. Gaby leaves her hanging there. The UPS man has to help Bree out of the swing. Bree raves at Danielle, then calms down when Danielle begins to become upset. A bit later,
Bree tells her daughter that she will help her in whatever way she can. The two sit down and begin to work.

Susan talks to her husband about Andre and his strange and insulting ways. They also discuss the murder in the woods. Will things ever go back to normal? Her husband says it is the way it is, that
they will simply have to accept it and move on with their lives. She returns to Andre's classroom to fetch her portfolio. He tells her she is welcome to be his student.

Lynette attends the ballet class taught by Tom's new neighbor, to scope out the competition. She finds it hard to keep up with the pace of the class, watches this new woman closely, talks to
her after class, isn't really that impressed with her, but knows that there isn't much that she can do about it at this time.
