Always in Control - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
Bree is driving her car at night with passengers Gaby and Lynette, talking amongst themselves as to who might have taken the body, what was done with it? Someone has dug it up, moved it, but who?
Was it Susan? They decide that Bree should be the one to ask her. Bree likes that idea; that way, something is going to be accomplished, if it is up to her.

Daughter Penny asks Lynette if daddy Tom will get married to girlfriend Jane. Lynette talks negatively about Jane to her daughter, even though she keeps saying that she should not. Tom is due to
pick up Penny to go visit at his place, but Lynette isnt happy about that. Lynette asks Penny if she would like her to call Tom and make some excuse so she won't have to go with him, see Jane.
Penny agrees, and Tom is disappointed, suspicious, but lets it pass for now. Lynette feels smug.

At Andre's art class, it is time to review the students' art portfolios. Andre describes the art work he does NOT want to see, which leaves out most of Susan's hard work. She asks him if
he peeked in her portfolio; he says he has. Andre insults Susan's work while praising student Amy's artistic talent. Little does Susan know that Amy is sleeping with Andre.

Gaby is serving what looks like dinner to daughters Juanita and Celia, who object to her awful cooking. She will have none of it, demands that they eat what is in front of them. A distracted
Juanita talks about her parents renting the cabin in the woods for the summer last year; will they do it again this year? Gaby is thinking about the body in the woods and tells her daughter
that she will have to talk to Carlos. Upstairs, Gaby talks with Carlos about the possibility of them both going to jail if they are found out, that they should choose suitable guardians for their
children. Who amongst their neighbors and friends would qualify? They finally settle on the gay couple, Bob and Lee, who have recently adopted a child. They will ask the men the next chance they get.

Bree turns up at Susan's house to ask her if she dug up the body, hid it. She doesnt get a chance because Susan is complaining bitterly about Andre's rude behavior, unwarranted criticism of her
art work. Bree nearly get out her question when Tom arrives looking upset. He tells the women that Ben's housing project has been shut down for now, but he doesnt seem to know the reason why.

At Bob and Lee's house, Gaby and Carlos put forth the question of guardianship for their daughters. Bob says that he frankly thinks the girls behave like monsters, as they did the last time he babysat
two months ago. Gaby and Carlos hasten to reassure the men that their daughters have greatly matured since then. Bob asks to be invited to dinner the next night, with his partner, so that they may
observe the girls' behavior for themselves. The next day, Gaby keeps the girls home from school for a crash course in manners. The girls object but work hard to please their mother. That night, at
dinner, Juanita and Celia behave like proper angels, even while Gaby is slipping dollar bills into Juanita's hand and candy into Celia's mouth to get them to perform. The evening seems to be a
total success until the adults are walking to the gay couple's car when the garage door opens, a gay slur spray painted in large red letters across it. Bob and Lee are upset and head for home. Gaby
confronts Juanita about the garage door. Juanita apologizes, says she could not help herself. Gaby sighs, tells her to go to bed.

Tom shows up at Lynette's house to find out why Penny hasn't come over this week to visit him and Jane. Penny, in a curt manner, says she has been busy, is still busy with things at school. Tom
asks her if she is mad at him or Jane, she says she is not. He suspects that Lynette has said something disrespectful about Jane to Penny. He seems sad and leaves.

On the construction site, Bree visits Ben with a picnic basket in hand, but he is drinking his lunch that day. He tells her a body was found in the woods the night he was taking the soil samples, that
he put the body in a storage shed until he can figure out what to do with it. He hesitates to call the police because he knows they will shut down the site to do an investigation and he doesn't want that.
He turns to go into the office to do the right thing, to call the police and Bree runs to the grave site. Ben follows her, not having made the call, asks her why she is crying. She confesses her part
iin the incident, that no, she did not kill the man, but did help to bury the body. Ben says he must call the police, that is is the right thing to do. Bree leaves, heads for home.

A frustrated Susan, not knowing what to paint to please Andre, shows up at his house to grill him. He says he is busy at the moment, but she shoves her way into his place. A nearly nude Amy comes into the kitchen, talks briefly to the two, then goes out. Andre, with a wry smile, tells Susan that he is giving her an A, no make that an A plus. He also tells her not to return to class. She doesn't know
how to reply to this and leaves.

A worried Juanita asks Gaby if Carlos is dying since they have been acting so strangely. Gaby reassures her that they have only been planning for the girls' future, that they have asked Bob
and Lee to be their guardians. Juanita accepts this and tells her mother that she is happy.

When Bree reaches her home, Chuck Vance, the detective, is waiting for her, shows her a picture of the dead man, asks her if she remembers seeing him just outside her house the night
of that party two months ago. She denies having seen him, but Chuck is very suspicious. suspects she had something to do with his murder. Chuck tells her he is watching her face, that her expressions show
that she is guilty and he knows it, that he will be watching her very closely from now on. He leans into her face and Ben shows up, jerks the detective off Bree. The men stand toe to toe for a tense
moment, then Ben demands that Chuck leave Bree alone. Chuck leaves and the two embrace. Ben tells her that he made sure the body disappeared. Bree doesn't know how to thank him enough, but he just
says that maybe she will be able to help him some day. They hug once more and Ben leaves, leaving a puzzled Bree to wonder why he would do such a thing for her.
