Bree begins to bond with Zach, Mary Alice's troubled son, after Rex takes the kids away for the weekend. Meanwhile, Lynette and Tom try to get Porter and Preston into a prestigious private school, and Carlos' mother visits which puts a strain on Gabrielle's hidden affair with John.

Lynette: They won't make it to their later years if I have to spend all day with them.
| Bree: When I looked out the window, I saw all of my mother's blood on the street, and nobody was doing anything about it, so I got a hose and I washed it off. And once it was clean I felt so much better.
| Susan: I hate to bother you while you're working, but do you have change for a five? Preferably in quarters.
