Okay, was it just me or was having Rex narrate seem ... off?

A fair episode. Lynette being abandoned on the anniversary date was very predictable, and Danielle being pregnant was very anti-climatic. Let's just cover it up? Come on. Show us some drama.

The only part I truly enjoyed were the scenes with John Slattery. It's about damn time Gabrielle dates someone closer to her age and quits "hanging out" with that scum-bag Zach kid.

And on a completely different note, spoiler fix is saying that ABC gave Cherry a contract through 2011. If DH keeps going downhill, the 2010-2011 season is gonna blow big time.

Quote:
Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry has inked a four-year, eight-figure pact with ABC Television Studio (né Touchstone), Variety reports. The agreement keeps Cherry lording over Wisteria Lane through May 2011, at which time he anticipates wrapping up the story of Bree, Lynette et al. (ABC has also quietly negotiated deals with key cast members through '11.) "After seven seasons, it will be a good time to call it quits," Cherry tells the trade mag. "I don't want anyone else to run the show, and I don't want us to fade away."

I liked Rex narrating ok, it was different.

I certainly agree on the "downhill" remark, I fell in love with this show because of the dark humor. Not the soapy and to-serious story lines. I say bring back the dry wit that made this show a hit in the first place.
