Joshua Logan Moore (Parker Scavo) and Kendall Applegate (Penny Scavo) do not appear in this episode.

Neal McDonough (Dave Williams), Charlie Carver (Porter Scavo), Max Carver (Preston Scavo), Joshua Logan Moore (Parker Scavo) and Kendall Applegate (Penny Scavo) have been added to the cast as series regulars.

Andrea Bowen (Julie Mayer), Joy Lauren (Danielle Van De Kamp) and Lyndsy Fonseca (Dylan Mayfair) are no longer credited as series regulars and have been removed from the opening credits.

Aside from the Pilot, this is the first episode to not feature a "Previously on Desperate Housewives" opening sequence.

Bree: Katherine! Fantastic news. "What's Cooking Fairview" is sending out a camera crew tomorrow to do a piece of me and the book.
Katherine: Oh, which I just finished this morning.
Bree: You read it already?
Katherine: Yes, I couldn't put it down. But I have to tell you, at least a dozen recipes are missing a pretty crucial ingredient.
Bree: Really? What?
Katherine: My name!
Bree: Excuse me?
Katherine: Bree, your book is filled with recipes that we developed together, and some of them are flat out mine!
Bree: Oh, don't be silly. I may have based a few on your recipes but I always change something.
Katherine: Like what? The font?

Edie: You froze me out. You threatened to ruin my business and then you ran me out of town. Now it's taken me five years to stop hating you. The least you can do is show some respect.

Photographer: The concept is, sweetie, you're taking the pie out of the oven, your face aglow with surprise.
Bree: Why am I surprised?
Photographer: Because it turned out so perfectly.
Bree: Well, that's no surprise. My pies are always perfect.

Lynette: (to Dave) Don't take this the wrong way, but we love you.

Lynette tells Katherine a similar thing, "Don't take this personally, but we hate you," in "Now You Know."
