  • Susan's house is next door to the home (4353 Wisteria) used for the 1970s The Hardy Boys Mysteries series as well as Elijah Wood's character's home in Deep Impact.
  • Martha Huber's house (4350 Wisteria) was previously used for the 1950s series Dragnet.
  • Bree's house (4359 Wisteria) was used in the 1989 film, The Burbs
  • Mike's house (4356 Wisteria) was used in the 1999 drama series, Providence.
  • The home between Susan and Gabrielle was used in the 1960s series, The Munsters. Due to it being so recognizable, producers decided to keep it off screen as much as possible.
  • The Young residence was used for the sitcom Leave it to Beaver.

Mary-Louise Parker, Calista Flockhart, and Heather Locklear all auditioned for the role of Susan Meyer. The role was ultimately given to Teri Hatcher.
