Detroit 1-8-7: Royal Bubbles/Needle Drop

Money laundering and drug dealing lead to the murder of a man at a car wash. When the victim's wife goes missing, Fitch, Washington, Sanchez & Stone team up on the case. Stone questions a dealer while Fitch asks the missing woman's reluctant sister for help.

When an up and coming young rap artist is tossed to his death from a building, Longford & Mahajan assume that a shady record deal with a powerful producer led to the killing. As they dig deeper into the victim's social life, they uncover a surprising secret.

The scene opens with Fitch organizing his desk and Washington tells that he was up all night with the new kid. He asks Fitch about the paperweight and Finch tells that it is just a scorpion paperweight and nothing more. Sanchez tells that they have a live one. Sanchez and Stone arrive at a car wash. A repair guy called it in and tells that he saw the blood from inside. They look around the crime scene and find a cell phone. In the garage, Washington and Fitch find the body. Victim is Thomas Jackson. Meanwhile, Mahajan and Longford investigate the murder of a rapper who had his car vandalized before being killed by being pushed off the building of a parking structure of a record shop. The victim is Christopher Roberts. They go in and talk to the owner of the shop and he tells that Christopher was a rapper trying to make it. He was driving an $80,000 car because he was really good. ..
