The episode begins with Dexter trying to calm Debra down, after her discovery that he is a serial killer. He tries reasoning with her by telling her that, he’s being killing since he was 20 and but kills certain kinds of people. Back in the apartment Dexter explains his dark passenger and his code. Even knowing the type of people Dexter kills Debra isn’t sure what to do, as she feels it’s simply not right, and is visibly disturbed at the revelation. She punches Dexter in the face as she can’t figure out what else to do and storms out, apparently agitated at the whole situation. At the office, Debra looks up the Bay Harbor Butcher. ..

Episode Quotes
Vince: We're cool, right?
Dexter: Yeah. No one needs to know.
Vince: Oh, thank God. I was ready to blow you.

Debra: You're gonna sleep in the bedroom.
Dexter: I'm not gonna put you out.
Debra: Yes, you are. I'm sleeping out here.
Dexter: Deb, that's ridiculous.
Debra: This isn't a fucking pajama party, Dex, okay? You're gonna take my bedroom, and I'm gonna sleep out here on the couch.
Dexter: Between me and the front door?
Debra: I will be by the door.
Dexter: You've really thought this through.
Debra: Yeah, well, I found this website - "How to cure a serial killer in ten easy steps," and this is the first step.
Dexter: You'll have to print me out a copy.
Debra: I'm figuring this out as I go along, Dexter. But if we're gonna do this, we're gonna do it all the way. We're gonna eat together, we're gonna watch TV together, we're gonna drive to fucking work together.
Dexter: Hope you got a big shower.

Nadia: You're a lifesaver. Not all cops are so nice to strippers.
Quinn: To tell you the truth, I was hoping you had something more for me.
Nadia: More for you?
Quinn: About the murders.
Nadia: What? You think this is just some ploy so I can get you alone and spill my guts? Look, I told you everything that I knew. My car really did break down. Sorry. If you want, I could pay you for the gas.
Quinn: Stop it. It's fine. It's the least I can do after all I'm costing you in tips.
Nadia: You'll have to do a lot more than give me a lift to make up for that. This is it. On the left.
Quinn: What'd you have in mind as far as compensation?
Nadia: I don't know. Use your imagination.
Quinn: Well, you're gonna have to give me a hint. I'm very unimaginative.
Nadia: Okay. George says the problem with my car could be the transmission.
Quinn: Mm-hmm.
Nadia: It means it's going to be in the shop for at least a few days.
Quinn: Yeah.
Nadia: Well, maybe you could pick up the bill. I'd really appreciate it.
