This special mini-episode takes place entirely in the TARDIS and features only David Tennant (The Doctor) and Billie Piper (Rose Tyler).

This marks the first reference to regeneration by name since the 1996 TV Movie. The process was previously alluded by the Ninth Doctor in the final scene of "The Parting of the Ways" but not named.

This mini-episode takes place between "The Parting of the Ways" and "The Christmas Invasion".

While this special has no official title since it was part of Children In Need, it is also known as "Born Again," or just simply "Doctor Who".
