BBC's website has confirmed who the new companion will be:
Catherine Tate, reprising her role as Donna from The Runaway Bride.
I think it may work, if she tones down the screeching....maybe travelling with the Doctor will humble her.

First, this huge cow is too fat for the Tardis door!
Infact this will be the second time (after Runaway Bride) that the Doctor will have to open BOTH doors!
Second, we all know that there is always some "running after the bad guys" scene, so can you imagine Tate mooing her way around saying "puff...puff..pufff...!" and sweating like a pig?
1st Dr companion was cute,
2nd companion was cute,
3rd one is a living advertisement for WeightWatcher! what the heck???
Well lets hope the new season of Doctor Moo will include some high quality stories |

I couldnt agree more. This was a HORRIBLE choice. I cant imagine what they are thinking here. The Xmas special was one of the worst yet and she was a big reason. Personally I think Sally Sparrow should be the next companion. Shes beautiful beyond words and a GREAT actor. Rose was the best companion of all time and its near impossible to replace her, but Sally could I think. This comedian lame a$$ they cast is even worse than martha.

Yes, but Martha wasn't that bad after she'd been on a few trips.
And at least we know she won't be pining after the Doc like Rose and Martha.  |

Donna has really fitted in well. She is in my view the best companion the Doctor has had since the series returned. |
