Episode discussion for: 07x01 | Asylum of the Daleks (Sep 01, 2012)

Was really impressed by this episode and was such a surpise when Jenna Louise Coleman was introduced. Wasn't expecting to see her until Christmas!

I loved it, thought this episode was totally awesome i do wonder how they are gonna play JLC becoming the new companion considering she is a dalek and apparently killed in this episode but then again it's Doctor Who anything is possible lol. Guess it could be due to another time thing

They've already explained online that Carla Oswin in Victorian times will be the same character Oswin here, but altered due to the changes in the timestream that occurred in last season's finale.

Somehow.

Yeah, I was thinking that he must meet her earlier in her life & possibly would change her timeline. I was just guessing and am curious as to how they'd do it.

^if you're REALLY curious, then just pick up the latest (or next weeks) Radio Times (England) and, no doubt, amongst their uber detailed description of the whole of this new season they include a bit about how she becomes the new companion <- damn those people at RT.

And also damn those end of ep spoilers of the next ep bits. Luckily I've learnt to mute sound and look away immediately ep is over.

No they can't have met earlier in her life cos when they first speak she says "we've never met". She obviously knew who he was from the Dalek database so when she at the end said "remember me" i think she was telling him to go back in time and change her timeline so she wouldn't be on the ship that crashed.

But if he was to change her timeline so she was never on the ship then she would have never been there to help them out. Im guessing that would be a paradox, so they would have all likely died on the dalek ship.
