Doctor Who has always been a favourite of mine ever since it started. I wasn't so keen on William Hartnell or Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee and Colin Baker would always be my favourite Doctors by far. I've always thought Tom Baker was on for too long.

It's easy to dismiss 'Who' as a silly, sci-fi show...Rating: 2 likes, 1 dislikes
Doctor Who is primarily a television show for children, filmed quickly and cheaply. This is especially true of its first 10 years. This means that, as an adult, there are many aspects of the show that will make you cringe. Some of the acting is as wooden as the sets, and the cheap special effects show up clearly in all their restored glory (it's wire, string and styrofoam city in there!). There are actors literally tripping over their own feet, costumes with gaping rips in them and flubbed lines that time did not allow to re-shoot.

So why should you watch this show? Simple - it's Doctor Who, it's fun, it's a piece of television history and because it has had a real labour of love applied to it and makes great viewing, despite its age.

BEST scifi series EVER... and longest runningRating: 1 likes, 2 dislikes
Sadly American TV has yet to produce anything as awesome... interestingly Fox purchased the rights to Doctor Who but did nothing amazing with it...

back to the BBC in Wales for awesomeness

What's your fave Episode?Rating: 0 likes, 1 dislikes
I love Pyramids of Mars: Part One episode! Doctor Who fans like me admit the fact that while there was never any money for decent quality special effects, the TV series strength was in the scriptwriting and in the acting - for the utmost part. Been looking for a great copy pf this boxset and gladly I found it at http://www.dvdbooth.com/DVD_BOX_SETS/Doctor_Who_Mega_DVD_Collection__Includes_All_Classic_&_New_Episodes . I received a boxset of DVDs with an excellent quality! William Hartnell was a marvelous Doctor, with all the charater of a irritable but thoughtful professor. This series is epic!
