Episode Summary

The Cybermen plan on destroying Earth in order to prevent the destruction of their home world, Mondas. The Doctor also discovers the Cyber Controller is far from dead.

Eric Saward and Paula Woolsey wrote this episode under the pseudonym of Paula Moore.

Terry Molloy (Russell) is better known for playing Davros, the creator of the Daleks, in "Resurrection of the Daleks", "Revelation of the Daleks" and "Remembrance of the Daleks".

Episode Goofs

Although the Doctor and Lytton seem to be quite familiar with each other, they never actually met in Resurrection of the Daleks. In addition to this, despite never having actually seen the Doctor, Lytton is able to surmise that he has regenerated since the events of that serial.
