Doug Bags a Neematoad. Doug is less than thrilled to move from his town of Bloatsburg to Bluffington, but when he meets a local student at Doug's new school, Masquito "Skeeter" Valentine, and Skeeter takes him to Honker Burger, things are looking up. Doug even meets his dream girl, Patti Mayonaise. Everything is going well, until he meets Roger Klotz, a local bully, who convinces that Patti will like him if he catches a Neematoad, a fictional monster, at a local pond.

Episode Quotes

Doug: My name's Doug, I guess I didn't catch your's.
Roger: That's because I didn't throw it!

Skeeter: The new kid wants three moo cows, one no cukes, one no stinkers, one wet one, four cubers, and one for the vine. You want anything else?
Doug: Well, how do you order a salad from the salad bar?
Skeeter: One salad from the salad bar!

Mr. Dink: So, Douglas, did you find The Honker Burger? Or did you just starve to death? (laughs)

Roger: I'll catch one that'll make that "neematoad" look like a "neematadpole!"

Skeeter: (about Patti) Come on, I'll introduce you. And um, bring your neematoad, too.

Skeeter: I met someone -- Skeeter. I hope he becomes my best friend --
(Porkchop growls)
best human friend!

Cultural References

Roger: Think about it, Tarzan.

This is a reference to Tarzan, Lord of the Apes, written by Edgar Rice Burroughs in the late 1800's / early 1900's. Burroughs has made numerous sequels. The books have been made into movies countless times, including three times by Disney, whom also spun it off into a cartoon series, The Legend of Tarzan.
