When Dr. Mike and Sully stop in to check on Mrs. Johnson, they find the old woman has died and a young boy named Zack hiding in the closet. Following the woman’s funeral, Dr. Mike is shocked to discover that the town knew the boy’s mother as one of Hank’s saloon ladies and preferred to keep him hidden away because they view Zack as “different.” While searching for Zack’s family, Dr. Mike discovers that Hank is the boy’s father. As Dr. Mike helps him come to terms with dealing with the repercussions of his actions, Brian discovers that Zack is a talented artist and as a result of this revelation, Dr. Mike encourages Hank to enroll him in a special art school in Denver.
