Sean Salazar, played by J. D. Pardo
Sean is not initially a Racer - his introduction to The Race comes courtesy of Winston, who he first meets when Winston is robbing his house. While holding him at gunpoint, believing him to be a petty theif, Sean is distraught to learn the truth of Winston's identity from their father - they are half-brothers.
Pissed off with Daddy Salazar, Sean is convinced by a desperate Winston (who needs money) to partner up with him in The Race. The pair of them head off, and find themselves in a tight race with Alex and Corinna for the first checkpoint (although what neither driver knew was that they were nowhere near first place).
As The Race progresses, Sean attempts to bond with Winston, and everything seems to be going okay - until Sean's goody-goody nature sees him helping Violet and John out, to Winston's disapproval, when John collapses. Things go from bad to worse when Winston is apprehended by a bounty hunter, but luckily Sean has just the ticket to get him released - he forces his dad's lawyer's hand, and at the same time handing back all of the family credit cards, effectively cutting himself off from Daddy Salazar. Unfortunately, Winston is not impressed with Sean's gesture, believing that Sean merely rang up their father. The tension continues when Winston tries to follow Alex and Corinna on their "jump start", so Sean ends up assisting with a bank robbery in a misguided attempt to impress Winston - an attempt that sees Sean shot and wounded. |
