The arrival of Dr. Max Rosher to do a feasibility study on a pediatric unit in the ER has a direct effect on Dr. Carter and Dr. Del Amico. Dr. Ross' unorthodox treatment of a drug-addicted infant causes a rift with Dr. Greene. Dr. Benton's efforts to defend Dr. Corday only complicate her professional relationship with Dr. Romano. Del Amico is troubled when a famous televangelist uses her illness for gain. Overwhelmed by personal problems, Jeanie turns to Dr. Weaver for support.
