Spring ushers in new beginnings at County General when Mobalage happily springs some good news on Dr. Greene. Dr. Carter mentors a young high school student, Antoine, whose interest in medicine pleases the initially wary Carter. Lucy confidently plows through her psychiatric rounds which include a young law student who is horrified to learn that he may be losing his mind and a foster kid whose anger runs deep towards his alcoholic father. Jeanie discovers religion after she experiences a miraculous healing while treating a minister. Hathaway helps former patient Coco with her newborn and asks Dr. Greene for a little moral support of her own. Corday discovers a chivalrous escort in Dr. Greene, when she finds herself in a traffic predicament in downtown Chicago.
