So, who knew Pratt would be the one who would die in last night's episode? I for one was shocked. I was never a big fan of his but never saw him as being killed off as the final season began.
Do you realize that is the fifth doctor/med student who has died during the series.
Dennis Gant, season 3
Lucy Knight, season 6
Dr. Greene, season 8
Dr. Romano, season 10
Dr. Gregory Pratt season 15
plus, the first episode had the head nurse nearly dying from an O.D. and both of Carter's grandparents died during the series. |

I finally had time to watch... God bless the DVR.
It was a surprise to me too. I hadn't seen any spoilers or anything hinting at it, so it took me by complete surprise.
But all in all it was a great premiere. It was heart-wrenching watching them push Pratt through the ER and when Pratt started crying, I lost it. Any episode that makes me do that is automatically a great episode. |

Watching Frank get upset by Pratt's death nearly brought a tear to my eye, especially when he touched his shoulder while waiting for the elevator. |

I just saw this thread so I'm going to comment long after episode aired.
I was completely shocked that Pratt died! He walked away from the accident! His character had matured so beautifully - he had grown into a wonderful man. Oh how I cried! (but I cry at the drop of a hat so it wasn't very surprising) |
