• Veteran actor Woods checking into 'ER' |
James Woods is going to check into NBC's "ER."
He will guest star as Dr. Nate Lennox, a patient who is suffering from Lou Gehrig's disease. His character is a former professor of Dr. Abby Lockhart, played by Maura Tierney. The episode featuring Woods will air Feb. 2, the network said.
Woods, 58, was nominated for a best-actor Oscar for 1986's "Salvador" and a best supporting actor Oscar for 1996's "Ghosts of Mississippi." His screen credits also include roles in "John Carpenter's Vampires," "Nixon" and "Casino."
